I wouldn't worry about it. As far as I understand, Sydney does the BG checks and sends the file to Local office for test scheduling.Some local offices are ahead of Sydney and they send the test invite before BG is done .From what I see , in case they need FP to verify ,they ask the Local office to deal with it and the email comes from the local office...which may be the case for you. Assuming they started the BG and need Fp and delegated it to your local office.

Again this is just my theory, I may be wrong. The good news is that they actually started "processing" your file. I see people from even August whose files havent been touched at all. Keep positive, we will all get there

Thanks! Got my FP request on September 2nd. Gave FP on 6th September. Now we wait for the test invite to follow. Currently it says "not started" against citizenship test.

Yes, that's the last update date that shows in my tracker

I applied for my citizenship certificate I recently relied an email saying decision is made I’m currently living in the USA where I applied from can someone tell me how long does it takes before it is mailed and approximately the time before I will receive it am a bit nervous

Hello all,

I recently moved and now trying to change my contact information. One form which I found the link in the AOR letter does not recognize my information and says that I don't have an application (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/change-address.html).

And another form asks to give the Citizenship application number. But when I give my application no. it gives an error stating that it can't be more than 7 digits (https://secure.cic.gc.ca/ClientContact/en/Application/Form/70). My application no. in the AOR has 10 letters. What should I do now to update my address? Did anyone have trouble before using the above online forms?

Appreciate any help.

Hello everyone,
I need your help to clarify some notices in GCMS notes.

When I requested GCMS and seen that:
- criminality passed, does that mean my background done? But no update on tracker.

For BG to clear you must clear Criminality, Security (CSIS) and GCMS (IRCC Internal) checks. There should be some note about these too

- Another sections language, Residence, and prohibition due date is Feb 2, 2023.

Does that mean they will work on my application on Feb 2023 or what does that mean by due date in GCMS notes?

I assume that means their internal deadline to clear it is Fed 2, 2023 based on current processing times
