My BG status changed to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check." after 2nd Ghost update.

I came to know that this is not common and most of the applicants BG status wont change as per above. I guess, this indicates the file moved to a different VO.

Appreciate if anyone can provide details on this

this is common update ....CEC candidates received these updates when there eligibility got passed. check this thread

Only by calling ircc you may get to know what exactly happened when you received that ghost update

does your background check says your background check is in progress??

No it still says " We are processing " i tried calling IRCC multiple or times every day but not got lucky to ask for latest update. Not sure if Eligibility is passed and Background verification is in progress now waiting for 2nd GU.

The status of eligibility will not be reflected on the portal, this is what IRCC agent has told me over the phone. In our case eligibility has been completed and the status has not change and the officer confirmed this. They have received our upfront medicals as well so we are only waiting for criminality to get completed and then security. In theory we have only one step left - 25th of Dec 2021 is our AOR

I have no clue, it all depends on each application, it is hard to say. From what I have seen quiet a lot of people had 1 to 3 weeks waiting period between GU but as I said it all depends on your application. In our case the background status is as follow:

• We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

We are just waiting for criminality to be passed and then security. Yesterday they told me that they have received out medicals, we should get an update on this one soon. Our primary VO is Sydney and secondary is Ottawa.

AOR - December 1, PNP Inland

March 12 I had my 2nd GU, April 1 I got my 3rd GU, since then it's been silent. Also my background check status has never changed, it always stayed at "We are processing your background check.."

Anyone else is going through something similar? I saw that most people get their PPRs 1-2 days after 3rd GU, so I am a bit concern since it's been almost a week for me.

I am inland PNP but no ghost updates as of now. Any one has any idea with new timeline from IRCC for PNP application will impact or applicable for new application or existing pending application will be impacted due to these changes

Medical: They have received them, just waiting for them to acknowledge on the portal
Background:
- Criminality is in progress
- Security is not started yet
Biometrics: Done
Additional Documents: Not Applicable
