I feel so frustrated. Since April/23rd there have been no updates to my case. BG check was completed April/20th and that is it. Not sure what's going on.

I just want to see if I understand these time lines, please see below, In one of them says Dec.21st, on the other one says Feb/26 as the date it has been filed, so which date should I be considering as starting point considering that BGC was done and marked as completed and as far as I know it means, no issues right?. Therefore my question is what is it taking so long? :

so If I check my case through Case number the old location I get this:

Citizenship

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 21, 2020.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 26, 2021.
3. We started processing your application on April 8, 2021.

Then When I check the dates in the new tracker, I get this:

No. The ATIP request is handled by a separate department and will not influence your application timeline.

R U sure ! have you ordered them yourself. I keep on reading on the forums that many applicants believe it delay the processing although official information suggest no such thing.

Yes, I am sure. I ordered 3 so far and it did not impact my application. You can see my timeline on the signature.

You can keep believing in theories and wonder if it would delay, or you could just place the ATIP request and see the result.

They helped me knowing through what steps my application went through so far.

Yes my spouse ordered one for him and it did not affect his processing time.

was the notes helpful explaining about the delay?

for me my application has been in porgress since last April and on the new tracker my background verification is still in progress ?
Though the vast majority of december applicants got test invites or atleast their background verification was complete !

Yes he got his test date.
He ordered in august. Got his notes in sept. He ordered one as his BG check was still in progress since 5th march while mine my BG check was complete since 17th march.
As it was first time we ordered one, it was quite interesting to read. Everything seemed ok. His Location was : Post March 2020 Exam
His BG check completed on the 24th of sept and got his exam status 2 days after (1st of oct to 21st of oct)
He got his exam 1 week after mine. He did his test on the 1st of oct and passed.
Today his status is all completed except oath. His status on ecas is : Decision Made.
Mine i just got BG check and test as completed. Everything is in progress.

Is it that you travelled during eligibility period and he may not have travelled anywhere?

Because I'm thinking if you travelled then IRCC may ask for color copies of your passport.

No we all did not travel at all since we came in Canada.

thanks for the detailed answer . What do hou mean by( his location was post march 2020) ?

Did you guys knew hi BG processing was completed from the notes ? Or this happened after u recieved the notes ?

I am in exact same scenario as I am. I sent same day they received differently but also april/23rd my BG check is marked as complete and nothing else after that so I am willing to request ATIP to see if that provides me with some additional info. The thing is that will take time as well
