Right but the email I received says the following:
On step 6 of the sign in process, you are required to take a picture of your photo ID. Do not take a picture of your face at this step.

so it’s bit confusing, how to avoid face while taking picture with webcam and only ID should be covered lol

You dont need to avoid face. Just take close up photo of ID while you hand and face in background.
There are 2 photos to be taken: One your face and another one is your ID.
So dont get confused. THey are saying that take picture of face when its asking for ID and vice versa. Thats all. Its not about hiding your face/hand while taking photo of ID.

Extend your arm close to the webcam while your face out of the frame. Practice offline

it isn’t that hard if you have read the book thoroughly and done some online practice tests. Otherwise easy to get confused on some questions.
