Several people in the whatsapp group and FB group from Dec 5 and 6 announced they got it. There's a lot of people who just doesn't update the spreadsheet :( But most of those people just got the update on their online account but haven't received the notification by email yet, maybe that;s your case and, as you can't see your online account, you got it bu you don't know it ;)
Hi Can you advise what the facebook group is called?

Hi Abeagomez ,Thanks for your reply. Yes she received her AOR as well as we were able to link both OWP and PR app on mycic. Now we are awaiting the response on OWP hopefully soon as her PR extension (visit record) is valid till May26.. our timeline is as below
App sent(or+owp): Dec 9
App rec'd: Dec 12
AOR(OWP AND PR app linked) : Feb 11
Awaiting OWP approval
Yep, but that's the thing: even if the visitor extension expires, she will keep her visitor status, because she have implied status as a visitor until they give her a response on her OWP

Is Visitor visa extension required after OWP approval? My spouses' visitor visa is expiring on may 27. And our application was submitted on 12Dec( so awaiting OWP approval now). I'm very confused as to should we apply for visitor visa extension . Is there any issueif we apply for extension and the work permit comes through before they process the extension?
hey, I think her case is the same as mine. I am as visitor and I applied for extension before get married.
They gave me a extension until oct/2020
my OWP was approved last week so they issued a new e-TA together with the OWP.
So what I understand is we don't need apply for visitor extension.

So I received a letter today from Service Canada thinking that it was my SIN and oh, processed oh so early!.....But of course that was too good to be true.

Apparently, they didn't process my application because a document was missing; interestingly enough, they don't actually say what is missing. So I get on the phone and call them, wait for an hour, and then get transferred to an agent. Now when I applied, I uploaded my work permit, passport, and residential lease as proof of address (please not that I had called prior to submitting my application to confirm that a residential was acceptable proof of address, and I was told that it was). Surprise surprise....it wasn't!!!.....until today -.-

The agent apologized and explained that it's a new system they just created because of the pandemic, and that when I applied (a week ago), they didn't accept that as proof of address....But now they do. So I applied again just now, uploaded the same documents and included my insurance policies as well. FYI, the agent told me that I can include more than one document as proof of address.

Oh the things we go through to become permanent residents of Canada....

Did anyone receive their OWP during the weekend? If so when was the application received?
Hi, I noticed you asked the same question last week. I think OWP are never received during weekends. I'm a December applicant and for the time I have been part of this forum, no one ever got their OWP on a Saturday or Sunday. Currently people is getting OWP on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so hopefully tomorrow we will have some news :)

To Abeagomez I ask every week because my application was received on December 20 so since it's so close just trying to get an idea as to when my OWP will get approved.

Hey, sorry I didn't mean to bother you, I just told you that because you specifically ask if someone got their OWP during the weekend and I just wanted to let you know that OWP aren't received during weekends. At the current processing rhythm, Dec 20 applicants will get their OWP in 5 or 6 weeks. Hopefully they will change their rhythm and will start processing the applications faster.
