Guys, we took the Oath on Nov 12 online! It took 1.5h for all the procedures. Everything was super smooth and flawless. A clerk asked for a name and last name, to show a piece of ID (our home country passports were used) and PR cards that were subsequently cut. We were asked if we were physically in Canada and if we had any problems with law; nothing else. Happy to join Canadian Family!

- Physical presence status has been updated to Completed
- Prohibitions status has been updated to Completed
- Language skills status has been updated to Completed

November 9:
- Citizenship oath status has been updated to In progress

December 29:
- Scheduled for Citizenship oath

Finally an update on my application, my background check turned to "completed" on November 4th , seeing a lot of activity on this December 2019 forum makes me hopeful but I am also being realistic

Did you have to do fingerprints last year? I did, and when they expired this year my background changed back to in progress and they requested I do them again

Yeah I did my FP last year and they expired , so how long before they send me the new request again? one positive thing out of all this is that they are looking into my application

It was less than a week till I got my 2nd prints request I think

Hello! I have Oath this Friday. I want to ask if seat number will be allotted during ceremony or it should be in the email? Because email says it’s there in the beginning but the seat number column is blank in the email.
