Hello everyone,...

I did my test in May 2021 since that no updates.
I need to travel back home soon,
Can I do the Oath online outside of Canada?

thanks for help.
Here is one extract from here:
You need to be in Canada to take the Oath of Citizenship. If you get your invitation while you’re outside Canada, reply to the invitation email to explain your situation in detail.

In your email
  • put “Outside Canada – Oath of Citizenship” in the subject line
  • In the body of your message, include
    • your full name
    • your application number
    • a detailed explanation of your situation
We’ll contact you with your next steps after we receive your email.

One more extract from the official web-site:
  • Taking the Oath outside of Canada: If an applicant has been granted citizenship under subsection 5(2), 5(4) or 11(1) of the Citizenship Act [including a person who is serving or has served in or with the Canadian Armed Forces and who meets the service requirement found in subsection 11(1.1) or 11 (1.2)] and is located outside of Canada, the Oath of Citizenship may be administered by a foreign service officer—see paragraph 20(1)(b) of the Citizenship Regulations. These exceptional cases are treated as private ceremonies and require citizenship staff to seek approval from the Registrar to allow a foreign service officer to administer the oath outside of Canada. Citizenship staff email Cit-Operations requesting the approval—refer to Citizenship Program Manual for Service Delivery Abroad for more procedural information.

Does anyone know the address for the citizenship office Ottawa to pick the citizenship certificate.

Google Maps is showing 2 address:
365 Laurier Ave W, Ottawa, ON K1P 6A6
235 Queen St #005, Ottawa, ON K1A 0H5

I forgot to ask the Agent ‍♀at the time of ceremony when she told me to come and pick the certificate on Friday anytime before 3pm.

The case processing centre is on Laurier street, so I would go there first. The Queen street location is where I did the PR landing few years ago.
Congrats!

Yeah, I ended up going to the one on Queen Street first, and luckily that was the right location. Got my certificate today.

I can finally say I am a Canadian Citizen now.

Oath Ceremony on Sept 29, 2021.
Certificate received on Oct 01, 2021.

Congratulations! In what urgent circumstances do they allow you to pick it up at the IRCC office?

so as we start another month , my tracker still sits motionless, since i sat the exam in February , i think Saskatchewan is a black hole at the moment.
will be celebrating 2 yrs in December,
starting to lose patience in the whole process , but i am glad to see people in this form getting to oath stages , gives you hope .
and at the moment that's all we have .
have a wonderful weekend everyone .
onwards and upwards .

I am in the same boat, we completed our tests in March and since then Radio Silence. Our processing office is Vancouver and we are nearing our 2 year mark as well. I have now sent my PR card for renewal as I have given up hope that we will be invited for oath this year. Now, lets see which process finishes faster.

Has anyone ever tried taking the online test outside Canada? I saw this: "If you get your invitation and plan to take the test while you're outside Canada, send an email to the address in the Eligibility section of your invitation".

I have a test scheduled on the tracker, but I did not receive an email invitation. Is this address the address of some office?

Btw, please help update the sheet:
AOR: Feb 24, 2020
In process: Mar 06, 2020
Test invite (tracker): Oct 4, 2021

Is there typically a delay between status change on the tracker and the email test invite?

Has anyone recently called IRCC? Are they still giving excuse of Afghan crisis for not working on citizenship files?
