I recieved an update in my profile today and my background check has changed from "your application is in progress" to "we are processing your application" what does that mean ? Is it a good sign?

I was in false ip2 since AOR, then in mid July I recieved an update and changed to "your app is in progress"
In october 2019 ( the date my medicals expired), I recieved an update in my profile and noticed "you don't need medical"
Today when I logged in, it was profile updated and saw background check changed to "we are processing"
I called IRCC many times and was in review required for eligibility.
Requested gcms notes but haven't received them yet.
Does that mean that eligibility is passed and my application is approved?
Please I need your insights!

Means they either started or finished the background check status on their system.

Most likely your eligibility was recommended passed.
Difficult to say. There are numerous cases where this message change coincides right were a final visa officer updates / approves a file. BUT there are also numerous case on this forum where applicants have waited for months after message changed to "We are processing your background check"
Thanks! I called IRCC and they told me eligibility is finally passed. What is the average time to clear security checks?

I need urgent advice from those who have done remedical. I have completed remedical today, i've been given tracking sheet from doctor's office. But in my CIC account I don't find any option to upload PDF of these sheets. Please somebody help me to upload proof of medical exam to CIC.

I have completed my remedical and sent proof of doing so through webform (as I found no option to upload in CIC account). But my CIC account is still showing "Your action is required". Is anything wrong?

When you have a GU, but the status is the same - your application is in progress, does it mean that it is a fake gu?
It is almost a month after Biometrics and I don't think I had another GU before.

Ghost updates normally comes when officer made some update on your application. Some people get ghost update just before PPR.
Don't worry as long as you submit your remedical through webform. It will change when they will review your remedical.
