I m a January AOR, sorry, does anyone know how to contact Vancouver Visa office?like directly email them, thanks

My friends used to say...Apply Express Entry.. you get PR in 4 months.. its easy as cutting cake.
Here I am post 290 days of AOR, with no hope of getting any positive news soon.
Seriously, I have 2 close friends who got theirs in 3 months. I was following their example and thought it wont even take the 6 months ircc claims.

Good day everyone,

I will be doing my landing this September in Vancouver. I managed to get a demand draft as a proof of funds. Is it okay to use DD in USD as PoF?

Thank you.

It scares me how quiet it is here. Means we are just a few guys waiting for PRs
Yeah, people tend to disappear when they get PPR.

For US Resident applicants who have got their PPR emails, can you please tell me how long it took to get your passport back?
Also, did you submit your passport at the VAC where you gave your biometrics or at some other consulate office ?

Thanks in advance,

@derkdsou mate, thanks for this clarification, if u don’t mind, do u know what this message entails?

The envelope for the decision on the results of your visa that has been processed has been received at the Canadian Visa Application Center at SydneyOC, on the date. We will then send this to the Canadian Visa Application Center SydneyOC. Please note that this is an automated email. Please DO NOT reply to this email.”

I got this from VFS way back in Feb and confused as to why they say d decision has already been made but I haven't received any update till date.

I am in exact same situation. When did you get your passport back ?

Yeah, that’s what I feel too. I had been a silent reader for quite a while, maybe there are more who are just waiting and not vocal about it.

Seeing so many 2019 applicants getting their PPRs is just disheartening making my even more frustrating.

This year was my 3rd attempt at the H1b visa and I didn’t get that. I thought I’d move to canada, but then I got stuck in that process. Had to sell my car and downsize, and move back to India, while my employer had figure out how to hire me in Canada as a PR (not work visa). That went down the drain. I had to move back to India. Now I’m not certain when or if I get to Canada, and if that job would still be there. I’m just going on the deep end of being unlucky. 2019 is just not my year.

Exact same experience here.. as soon as that PPR hits though, I'm certain we will thrive again! :)
