Glad you took the initiative to call IRCC - it sounds like you have resolved all of the questions you had from your GCMS notes! For future reference, @legalfalcon is the real expert on decoding GCMS notes having seen hundreds (if not thousands) of them. If you order your notes from www.getgcms.com, it is a service run by him so he is more than happy to help people understand what certain sections mean and advise on a course of action, if and when necessary. Good luck!

If your wife is a citizen of Canada, I'm curious why you didn't go through the spousal sponsorship route. If your intention is to become a citizen, would that happen faster via a PR or spousal sponsorship?
@derkdsou I answer irrespective of where you obtain your GCMS notes from. GET GCMS was started by me because there was a void and none of the provides were in compliance with the Canadian Privacy Laws. As a lawyer, I couldn't ignore these. New immigrants are most prone to identity theft. So It was important to provide a affordable service, incorporated in Canada, compliant with Canadian laws, and if needed there is a recourse by filing a Complaint with the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. The regular audits mandatory under the Privacy Act ensure that we are current with the latest procedures in place, and compliant with the laws while ensuring that data is protected at all times.

Quick question: In my GCSM notes there is a section on Organizations & Entities. Anyone know what that is about
Name: BI
Type: Organization
Sub Type: DN Statistics

@legalfalcon ?

Thanks!
This section pertains to an applicant's association with any known prohibited, listed, other organisation which could be under under scrutiny by Canadian government or intelligence.

with the following reason: “Other” (Disassociated??? - Wife is a Citizen of Canada, am I now considered as a single applicant? with POF requirements changed to $12,669?)

Any help is much appreciated! :)
1. If you submitted Canadian Education Credentials, the Program assistant was unable to determine the level of your Canadian education, and has flagged it for an analyst or or an officer to determine it.

2. For the PCC, you have to submit RCMP PCC, if you are in Canada. If you have not submitted one already, it will be requested later in the process.

3. Your age changed between ITA and e-APR, so you will have the age policy applied to your application. See
https://www.getgcms.com/blog/age-impact-express-entry-application/

4. Since your dependents are Canadian citizens, they have been removed from the application, this is what "disassociated" means. As a Canadian citizen, your spouse is not subject to admissibility review for criminality, finance, security, and medical. A spouse, whether accompanying or not, who is not a Canadian Citizen is subject to admissibility review for criminality, finance, security, and medical, which does not apply to your case.

No need to worry, and there are no concerns in your notes.

This is helpful @legalfalcon. To be very honest, I silently wondered about you and others on the forums, wondering if there was some commercial motivation for what you do and, not having seen any declaration of interests, such as this, I have been a little skeptical about whether these were being pursued at the expense of the posters here. Sorry to be blunt, but that was my concern.

The above clarification therefore is to me an important one and one that put suspicions about your motivators to rest (in my mind, there is absolutely everything to praise about a business model that can make fair profit while having beneficial impact on the livelihood of others). Perhaps there is somewhere on the forum where these declarations have been made - if so I would kindly urge you to make them more visible to participants of the forum to preempt the skeptics, like myself, who hope for the best but fear the worst. And, if there is no other place where you have made these comments, my kind request (and by no means do you have to declare your interest, I know this is your choice. It just helps others have peace of mind if you do) is that you do, and publicize it widely.

Lastly, I had been very very wary of ordering GCMS notes because of concerns around privacy. The part of your comment assuring compliance with the Privacy Commissioner has done well to assuage my fears.

As others here have done before in other threads, I use this opportunity myself to say thank you @legalfalcon for the services to others. You are a credit to the country we all hope to one day call home. Thank you!

Thank you for your kind words. I do not wish to promote GET GCMS as that is not the primary motive here. I immigrated to Canada in 2017, and was a member of the Sep 2016 thread. Being a lawyer licensed in India and US, and having practiced immigration law in the US, I pretty much read Canadian immigration law while waiting for my application to be processed (took 8 months). However, as soon as I was on the forum, there was a bunch of misinformation floating around based on speculation, assumptions or just wild guess.

Thus started my endeavour to inform and educate fellow members by citing and quoting IRPA, regulations, ministerial instructions and cases. I also learned a lot from other who had experienced the practical side of immigration through their experiences. One of my fellow thread mates started a thread, and everyone started asking questions there, which has continued so far. Out of my interest, I studied Canadian Immigration law at McGill Law School and further gained more knowledge by working in the legal field in QC and ON.

The biggest concern that I saw was GCMS notes, and how they were being dealt with. None of the websites at that time were either working on a server in Canada, and neither did they have anything mentioned about the The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). The reason was simple, it takes time, resources (financial and human), and above all an understanding of the law to comply with it. Merely stating that data is protected, does not protect the data. There is an elaborate procedural framework to comply with under the PIPEDA, and also provincial privacy laws in Quebec, Alberta and B.C., on top of PIPEDA that have to be compiled with.

As an incorporated entity in Canada, both federally and provincially, GET GCMS deals with IRCC, CBSA, CSIS, the Privacy Commissioner and the Information Commissioner on regular basis. GET GCMS was started by me, and two other fellow forum members (both techies), who have now gone defunct on the forum as they got busy with their lives. GET GCMS has a team of 2-4 people (varies throughout the year) who man the system, update records, answer calls, maintain the website and databases and file requests. Only one person is permanent, who is also in-charge of bi-annual audits under PIPEDA while others join for a few months and leave. Since late 2017, when GET GCMS started, most of the people who have worked have been recent immigrants, who joined while struggling to find jobs in their fields. As regards profits, which are negligible to begin with, but help in paying a very modest wage to the people who work and keep the systems up and running. If at all there are any profits, they are invested back.

If you like the work I do here, all I request of you is to stay back after you receive your PPR, and help others by providing credible and law based advice. There is no competition on who knows more or who is an expert as immigration law is an ever changing field and one needs to be keep updated all the time. With new cases interpreting the provisions, to amendments in the law and regulations, no one can claim to be an expect.

This will be my last post on this issue, as my motive here is not to promote any commercial activity, but keep this forum informative, educative and free from any myths or false information.

All the best on your application!!

US resident PPRs, I got this just nowish. Is this normal? I already had a ghost update 24 hours ago, which was the day after IRCC told me my photos were accepted. I haven’t logged in yet since I’m away from my computer until tomorrow and I want to screenshot it. I haven’t seen people report a new email. Is this normal?

Thanks again @legalfalcon. Many should aspire to do what you do, you are an exemplar of kind regard and ministration.

Ok, to honor your request to speak no more on this I will also do likewise. But hopefully your comment will be shared widely by others so that others like me can be edified to know who @legalfalcon is, how important @legalfalcons work here is, and how grateful we should all be to you.

May everything you touch turn to triumph.

For US residents who had PPR approved, how long did it take for your return tracker to activate? Mine still isn’t active.

I also got this email and when I logged in, I could see the 'Document Status' being updated which basically has our passport details(name, passport number, status(valid), document (Counterfoil), document number, expiry date(when medical was done) and other details like UCI number etc. I am guessing this has to to do with issuing the visa for one time entry in Canada.
