Hi Guys,

I'm on 109th Day. I have read many things about GCM notes in this forum. I haven't received any ghost updates since IP1 which happened more than 2 months ago. From the call with IRCC on 8th March, I came to know that my status is follows:

VO: CPC Ottawa
Eligibility: MET
Criminality: Not started
Security: Not started

Should I wait till I cross at least 120 days before I order GCM notes or should I order that once I get ghost update ( may be for IP2 ) ? I know each case is different and it's up to an individual what he/she wants to do regrading the GCM notes. But I'd really appreciate your opinion/thoughts.
Judging based on MyImmiTracker, Indian citizens/residents are trending 160-190 days for PPR, so I wouldn't sweat it too much yet. GCMS notes are cheap and it gives you a short term (30 day) goal to look forward to. I'm of the opinion that more information is good, personally, and it gives you a long document which is interesting to read.

I wouldn't be worried about your current status, if I were you, but you could go ahead and order GCMS too, if you care. If you are really in what we refer to as IP1 (your call with IRCC seems to confirm it), GCMS will not be interesting. I have a copy of GCMS notes from IP1, and while it was interesting to get used to the format, there's nothing in there of any interest. It's just them filing documents and verifying you uploaded everything you needed to upload. No actual agent reviewed it to see if it meets the requirements, but just to make sure you uploaded the documents in every category.

Basically, in IP1, they have assessed the quantity, but not the quality. I hope that makes sense.

TLDR: You can order GCMS to give yourself something to look forward to it, but it won't be helpful, probably (it's generated when you request it, usually, and returned 30 days later). You're still good as far as your timeline and country goes.

I woke up to the golden email, as predicted. Delivered at 8:03 AM Ottawa time.

Thanks for the moral support, everyone.

PPR arrived before my expected GCMS notes.
Congratulations!
Just out of curiosity... Out of the India-USA people who received PPR and were originally in CIO Sydney, did you ever get transferred, or know of anyone who got transferred to Montreal during the whole process?

I'm not Indian. I'm a US citizen and resident (that didn't appear to matter at all, though). Every bit of my application was processed at CIO-Sydney. I am required to send the PPR to Ottawa, however.

I originally put my LVO as Ottawa in MyImmiTracker, but I changed it to CIO-Sydney, since that's where it was actually processed. I'm not 100% sure which is better to put there.

There is one PPR on immitracker today with Dec 5th AOR and applied from USA. Looks like there will be few PPR's this week for Dec 1st week candidates who applied from USA.

Today I submitted my passport for US B1/B2 visa. Just wondering if I need to inform IRCC about the visa once I get my passport?

I'd go with CIO-Sydney. Oh, and HUGE, GINORMOUS, GARGANTUAN congratulations, buddy!

PPPPPPPPPPPPPP PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Got the "Golden Email" this morning at 8:03 AM EST.

The request is to send passports to Ottawa along with a filled out Annex A, which is nothing but a barcoded document asking for current address and phone number.

There was no 2nd Ghost Update on the account until Friday, and i did not check after that over the weekend.

I am in a bit of a fix though, i need to travel out of the US (back to India - Visa getting expired) on April 13th. I am not sure how long it takes for the CoPR to arrive back to the US.

Any ideas on how long it would take if i overnight my documents today to the Ottawa, as the email has no mention of a turnaround time for CoPR requests.

I always have the option to email them and say that i will be submitting the documents in India, but i want to get it done while i am here - dont want any more waiting. But i need to have the passports back before April 13th. Any Thoughts ??

How do I request for GCMS notes if I'm outside Canada

Congrats!!! Exact same delivery time as me. They must send them in huge batches.

I don't think you can rely on getting them back in time even if you overnight, based on the PPR tracker on MyImmiTracker. I've been looking at it. If you need your passport that soon, you're going to need to raise a CSE and have them switch you to Delhi or something.

Edit: Look at step 4 in the PPR email:

If you do not have a mailing address in Canada or the U.S.A, or if you are unable to submit the required documentation for you or your accompanying family members to the addresses below, please send an email to us at XXXXX-removed-but-your-email-has-it@cic.gc.ca so that we can send you instructions for submitting your documents to a visa office which is the most convenient for you. Please note that our office will not return passports to an address outside North America.
