Dec 5th AOR. Applied from US and till date there's no update. I was under the impression that applications are processed quickly for folks applying from US. I have seen people getting PPR email in 30-40 days.

That's not the case any more mate. Many US applicants from Aug and Sep are still waiting for their PPR. None of the US applicants (as far as I know) from October have received PPR yet. December has a long way to go !

I was following some FB groups and saw the trend for US applicants.

I know few folks from Aug AOR and they got their PPR by Sep end / early Oct. Why did the trend change? Do you know? I thought since Canada has access to a lot info for US applicants, the process is pretty quick.

I have a question

I applied for my PR in the spouse living outside Canada category. My application was received by the Sydney, NS office on 31st Nov 2018 as per the courier company. Now my spouse doesn't have her UCI nor do I have any application number or confirmation from IRCC NS.

Should I wait for the AOR or there's any other way to confirm that my application has been received and is under process?

Wait for atleast 30 days post AoR for medicals to get passed, which is the first sign of progress in your apllication.

AOR for paper based applications take longer and will be received via post. Check with IRCC after a week.

Looks like the trend has moved to 30 plus days and there have been holidays in between. My AOR is 15th

From 2 months (since AOR) to a year or even more than that. There are cases, which have been stuck for 200+ days with eligibility being reviewed.

This status won't change even after PPR.

question, can I use some of POF and redeposit it back in ~20 days ? or is it recommended to keep the POF till PPR ?
