Thank you. The reason I asked is because from the time my medicals(Jan 21st) are passed I am in same status for eligibility and background. So I am not sure if IP1 was skipped

I came to know that my application has now moved to Local Office in Montreal, Quebec (from CIO, Sydney, Nova Scotia)

AOR 26th dec 2018
Medass/biometrics ail 5th of February
Current backgound check changed to IP2 since feb 11 after i submitted biometrics

I called CIC and here are the details from the agent below:
Eligiblility DONE
CRIMINALITY DONE
SECURITY: NOT YET STARTED
This update was about 2 weeks ago
I am also a Nigerian.

Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.

Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.

Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes

Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.

Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Same here, AOR from Dec 18th, Medicals passed in Jan 30th.

I called CIC today and reached a very nice agent who told that my application is being processed in OTTAWAs office and half of my background check has been passed for the moment. What does it mean ?
What are the first steps they check ?

Dial +1 613-944-4000, select options 1 1 1, yhen select option 2 1 1 0. U may have to be placed on a queue for 25 to 30 mins b4 u can speat to an agent.

First step usually is criminality.
