Today, my journey spanning of several years (just like the other immigrants) formally concluded as i received my passports and all the formalities and paperwork, that i have done during the past several years is finally over. I want to thank many friends who i dont even know who helped me on this forum and i learnt a lot from them. All the best to all those who have applied for the Canadian PR from all parts of the world and still waiting to come to Canada and to those who are waiting for the their citizenships, oaths etc. Please feel free to contact me if anybody needs any help.

Was your file always located at Scarborough or did you move it to Mississauga? Last time I checked they said they are trying to schedule people and I moved from Toronto to Hamilton but didn't bother moving my file.

Was your file always located at Scarborough or did you move it to Mississauga? Last time I checked they said they are trying to schedule people and I moved from Toronto to Hamilton but didn't bother moving my file.

My file should be in Toronto and I never moved from Toronto in the last 5 years. But my test was in Scarborough and my oath is scheduled in Mississauga. I guess they trying to clear the backlog by filling gaps in an around Toronto.

Hey Guys , i checked my ECAS today and it says that a notice was sent to me on Nov 30th to attend oath ceremony, although i have not received anything till now , neither email nor snail mail , anyone else in same boat ?

congratulations , can you please check your ECaS and let me know if the date mentioned on ECAS when oath ceremony notice was sent is prior to the date when you got actual notice ? was it email ? trying to understand if email comes after few days from the date mentioned on ECAs.

I checked ECAS after the email was delivered and I didnt see any updates there. Usually it updates in a day or two after I get the email.
Noticed the same behaviour for test date.

Today we received a letter for invitation for oath ceremony, No email and ECAS still not updated yet. Our oath is on 20th December in Toronto Police academy.

Need some help from my fellow applicants or who crossed the test phase please;
For the below, what documents are we supposed to show them?

When attending to test/Interview, CIC is saying;
You must bring with you:

'All your original documents that support your citizenship application (as listed in the document checklist in the citizenship application form)'
(Apart from other things like passports, pr cards and id proofs ofcourse, which they mentioned n separate points)

And, most importantly, your landing paper...

My ECAS got updated today like I thought so.

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 11, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 2, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on March 6, 2018.
4. We sent you a notice on October 15, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on November 1, 2018 at 4:00 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5. We sent you a notice on December 1, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on December 19, 2018 at 12:30 PM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

I applied in late December 2017 and I haven't received a test invite yet. I live in Mississauga. It has been over 11 months now. Is there anything I could do? It may be worth noting that my family (4) who applied shortly before me in 2 separate applications in Mississauga are all Canadian citizens now.

Sorry friend. This is the same situation for many people. They wont entertain you even if you contact them, until it is more than a year from the day they received your application.

hello friend, i am in the same boat as you. did test at the same location and awaiting for oath. not sure how long we are in queue as i see people are getting oath invites who gave test on that day.
