Just got my oath ceremony letter for Dec. 18, 2018. in Edmonton.

Thinking of calling to ask for a sooner date since I might be travelling on that date. Does anyone have a similar experience?

I requested for an earlier or later date too. I have not been rescheduled and still waiting for a new date.

Thank you. We were actually told during the interview that they may be contacting us if any further docs are required. But our status changed to DM the next day. Yaah..I understand how frustrating it is.

Did anyone get oath invite for a date that is later than the application submission date? I wanna know if they are keeping their SLAs for oath.

Yes, mine is 12 days after my application date. The 12 months timeline is the time it takes for 80 percent of applications to be processed. The other 20 percent will go over.

The timeline slightly exceeds for the non-routine applications.
The application is considered non-routine if:
  • you changed your personal information, such as:
    • name
    • sex designation
    • date of birth
  • you missed a:
    • test
    • interview
    • hearing
  • you submitted extra documents, like:
    • fingerprints
    • residence documents
  • if you are asked to come to another interview or hearing after you attended your interview
Your citizenship application is also considered non-routine if you:
