Yes, apparently they do send them on weekends even. I didn't think so either. I wonder if they schedule this and it gets sent automatically, or if someone is physically there and working overtime/weekends (which is strange since that is quite rare in government, I guess they are way behind schedule?). But imagine the insane delays if they DIDN'T work weekends.... already takes a long time to process a citizenship application...

I got it in the morning, when I was driving. But I saw the email pop-up and as soon as I saw "Do not Reply", I knew it was from CIC (takes me back to PR days when I used to get those sorts of email updates).

Also, I just checked ECAS today, and I now have 2 lines, 1) we received your app on Dec 11, 2) we sent you AOR.
When I checked yesterday it wasn't active.
Means someone did something this morning. Hopefully my application is now on its way to Ottawa!

Did anyone see the video about the citizenship test?
I do not know if it is a new one (post-C6), but in it , it says to bring certain documents, and that if you do not pass the test after the 2nd try, you will have to see an immigration official for interview. Does this mean that otherwise, there will be no interview? Because in the past, they used to do interviews and demand documents... but since they do not say please bring any justificative documents with you that can help explain gaps or problems or whatever, does it mean they will no longer be doing interviews?

No, this has always been the case. After two failed attempts, you need to appear in front of a Citizenship judge who will decide whether to grant you citizenship or not.

Interview after test is mandatory for everyone. If they are not satisfied with your physical presence claim, they will issue an RQ. RQ requires submitting all justification and proof of your physical presence claim in Canada.

All of those who are waiting for thier AORs my recommendation to them is not to forget to check your "Spam" or "Junk" folders because many times, the new emails automatically moves to this folder.

application processing time says 12 months. is it from the date of AOR or from any other date??
It’s from the date they receive your application.
