Hi,

My status is also struck at ""Next step is to conduct background check" from last 3 months. I wonder how much time does it take to move to the next step! Does it mean they wouldn't have started with the BC formalities yet? I submitted my medical and PCC upfront though.

Hi,

Has anyone submitted the outland application in December and is now waiting for updates from the New Delhi Visa Office?
Let me know if anyone of you has an idea about the processing time after your application reaches at the local Visa Office (In my case it is NDVO).

Thanks!
I applied on Dec 22 2016 (outland) and my VO is NDVO. Last thing I received from them is AOR2 on Feb 2nd...and since then nothing...Background check hasn't started yet :(

I received my AOR2 on Jan 30. Seems like they are still working on the applications submitted before Dec 7. Hope we get some update soon!

Hello everyone! Just want to ask, if your BGC changes, would you recieve and email for the change and a message on your mycic account? or you will just see it change??

I think it would still be best to send what's being asked, i.e. if 2 photos, then send only 2 :)

In my case I wasn't sure If the phographer understood the SPECIFIC SIZE and all the details for the PR Visa
So I had my photos taken in two different studios and send the two sets

Yes you have to submit your educational docs as well as job details and associated proof docs if you are working. As far as the attestation is concerned, marriage certificate needs to be attested via notary. It would be advised to go through the requirement list on cic before submitting your file.

I never submitted that with the application, since they do have specific immi forms and list of documents needed. So whatever they asked for that was the only thing I gave. The marriage certificate though I did give, The authentic copy and the original copy they give you after you get married; but so far with educational documents like professional license and my professional certification and transcripts at uni. No I haven't given them that. So far my application on "mycic" account says that my request for additional documents is "not applicable" They haven't given me additional document requests since they transferred my application to the Visa Office in Manila.

The only thing I could remember filling out having a background on my education and work experience was the IMMI 5669.

Don't worry too much. Just relax until they ask for any additional document. Since I am working, i submitted all the proofs along with those immi forms.

My application has been in Havana since Jan. Last week I got a call from the Cuban embassy they left a message saying there were missing documents in our application. The woman left no name no return number to call her back, luckily my husband was in Havana doing his medical and was able to go and enquire. The embassy told him that our application was written in pen and wasn't allowed ( it was a paper application??). They said they wanted new forms filled out electronically, they wrote the forms they wanted onvabpeice of paper and my husband sent a picture of it to me. So of course I sat down and electronically filled it out and sent sent it through an email to which the embassy told me was the wrong forms. I have asked them to submit the requested forms through our linked application but have no response from them.
How can I provide them with the information if I don't even know what exactly it is that they want....isn't all correspondence supposed to go through our linked account.
Needless to say this is very frustrating and I don't know what to do. The Canadian embassy offered no help or guidance so I'm just wondering if anyone has gone through something similar and could maybe offer a suggestion or advice on what to do.

Hello, did any one that sent to Manila on or after December 9, 2016 get a DM? ( processing starting January 9, 2017 ).

Are applications typically handled in order? I saw a few quick DM statuses from the Manila office, I'm hoping to get one for my wife soon since they won't give her a tourist visa.
