Our file transfer occurred March 10. Background check has been in process for almost six weeks. We're expecting decision made, hopefully, any day now.

Did you finally hear from them?

Finally heard from them. My application was sent to Ottawa last week, still a while to go but hoping it comes soon now. Our application is extremely straightforward.

Thanks for asking and good luck to you.

Ive heard some VO dont request passport. is it true?
Ottawa doesn't require the physical passport if you are from a visa-exempt country, but they still send a request for a photocopy of your passport, among other things.

I think we all esp. the applicants belonging to the New Delhi Visa office should write up their concerns like mine, that we have not been hearing any updates lately compared to other visa offices. This might bump them a little and put pressure on the NDVO to start processing the files a bit quicker and update people.

Twitter is the best source I think since its public: https://twitter.com/CitImmCanada

I keep posting on n off with the same concern i.e. to speed up and deliver timely updates for the spousal applications.

Hello! I am happy to hear that so many people is getting their approval. Congrats to all of you guys!

I need help with something. I am sponsoring my husband who lives in the US but he is not a citizen there (he is Venezuelan), our application was being processed in Ottawa but we received an letter today that the application is being transferred to a visa office in Los Angeles, California. What does that mean? is this a bad indication? they might ask me for an interview? They haven start the background check, We are stuck in the Eligibility phase. Please let me know if you have any idea what this transfer might mean.

Thanks!

Hello all,

Is there any uk applicants here who know how far along they are in the process yet? I'm trying to find out possibly how much longer I will have to wait :)

Congrats to those of you who have gotten approval or PPR recently.

We are still waiting to hear back after sending in the PPR form and photos. We were asked to redo the photos, we sent the new ones in and have not heard anything about the second batch yet. Hopefully they will be ok and COPR will be very soon. I was super paranoid after the first ones weren't accepted, so I took a ruler out to measure them before we sent them and I have a feeling these ones are a few mm off as well.
