For those who sent their packet out. Did you all use the Courier address or Canada Post? The Courier Address isn't listed on the CIC website where my forms are listed (or in the checklist), it took some digging and a google search and I finally found it listed on the CIC website. I want to make sure that it's going to be processed correctly. Should I just do Canada Post with tracking (no signature)?

Can you confirm the address I'll want?

Hi I am new to this forum. I have applied for Common law Sponsorship ---I am Canadian and my partner is Uk resident.
We received your application to sponsor XXXX on December 9, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 14, 2016.
We started processing your application on December 13, 2016.
23rd December --Received an email for Sponsorship approval(SA) and file is transfer to London office for further processing.

We received one more letter on Christmas eve --requesting photos of Marriage ceremony. But we are not married we applied as Common law partner. I guess they have got our file confused with someone else's .Hope it wont delay on our processing.

There isn't a minimum income requirement for sponsoring spouse, so don't worry about that one.

Actually in Quebec there is and there is a calculator to find the exact amount (expect it will go up in a few days for 2017) for me it is $54,716 for wife and bringing my canadian son.

But can someone tell from experience:

Is it ok that we don't have a job or residence in Canada?

It doesn't make sense to me - all of the questions are written for inland applicants, so I literally have to say that I don't have any proof of income in Canada or tax forms or proofs of residence, no bills, no letters, no rental contract, nothing.

I can only prove my smaller Euro income + that I am married to my European spouse. Are the case processing people used to understanding that the form can not be filled out by outland applicants?

Thanks

Actually, there isn't.

You're sponsorship Kit A ("without financial requirements").

https://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/forms/search-title/undertaking-application/kit-a.html

Kit B (which has financial requirements) is for other family types.

The only reason you would have financial requirements from what you've described is if your dependent child has themselves dependent children (eg a 14 year old parent).

I received a refund for some reason with no explanation.

A refund in the amount of $415 has been initiated. If you paid by credit card, it will be credited back to
your credit card account. Otherwise, a cheque will be mailed to you at the address indicated above in
approximately six weeks to eight weeks.

I am sponsoring my wife (outland) and her daughter (minor).
Payments I made were:
Sponsorship application (per application) 75
Principal applicant (spouse or common-law partner) 475
Spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner of the principal applicant, or where a transitional provision applies, a family member of the principal applicant who is 22 years of age or older 550

Why did I get a refund it doesn't give a reason in the letter they send.

Over payment for minor. It should be just $150/child. Not sure though why you are getting $415 refund. $550-$150= $400.

Hello,

Sponsoring My Wife in Honduras (I am in Toronto)
Mailed Application - December 1st
Message Received Application - December 5th
Request Letter - December 20th (asking for IMM 5604 form) (sent to my wife's email)
Accepted as Sponsor - December 21st (Application sent to Mexico Visa Office) (sent to my email)
Linked Application Online - December 26th

The requested letter is asking for the IMM 5604 for "Declaration from Non-Accompanying Parent..." but we can't fill this form out because my wife who has a 2 year old daughter and the father did not recognize her. Only my wife appears on the birth certificate.

What steps should we take as it clearly shows on the birth certificate of her daughter that she is the sole parent.

We do see that if you can't fill out the document you have to give the reason as to why we cannot. So at this point I'm getting my wife to get an Affidavit stating the reason she can't fill in this form.

I registered her application online and the only information it has is that application is open and review in progress. Shows medical passed. The linked application does not state anything about missing documents.

I am assuming we need the affidavit and when I do get it I will have to get it translated. What would be the best way to submit this letter as when requested it says to send to Mississauga office but now the application says it is in the Mexico Visa Office. I am confused as to why they are even asking for the IMM 5604 form and I don't even know who to reach out to as I tried using the case specific email and have received no response since sent December 21st.

Please advise.

I also have dependents and I included an Affidavit of Illegitimacy and Sole Parental Authority when we sent the application. There was also no mention of birth father on my eldest birth certificate. I am hoping it will be accepted by the VO. In Philippines, we have a law that the mother has sole authority for an illegitimate child.

Thanks and I think I accidently over calculated I paid $1115 when it should have been $1100 so that makes sense.

My app was received by David S this morning :D

Do we wait for instructions to set up an account? Or do I set one up now and wait for them to send info on how to link the app etc

It's been 15 days i submitted my required documents on MyCIC account, it still says not submitted to IRCC??
What does that mean? I also mailed the documents but still curious why not information on mycic account is acknowledged?
