no, they didn't go into hiberation; they actually seem to have sped up considerably during this month. a friend of mine who applied mid-september got his PPR yesterday, and i've also heard from F.M. that october applicants are starting to get doc requests.

Hi all. I'm an Aussie and my application was sent to Ottawa after getting SA in March.

Last week I received instructions to send my passport (with 2 x photos and enclosed return mail) to CPC Sydney Australia. Woo hoo!

Does anyone have an estimate of how quickly this might be processed?

Yes all from Ottawa. One Passport Request from Vienna (Feb.) as well.

Just got en email from the TLV VO:
"The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa."

Looks i'm almost done
Just need to send them a copy of the passport and 2 pics. Looks like I can even send it to Ottawa for faster processing because we're inside Canada.. ;D ;D

Hi, awesome news, congrats! My Aussie husband received the same email last week but we live in Poland so he just went today with the required documentation and 2 photos to the Canadian embassy in Warsaw and it took him 5 minuted to get the COPR. He also got all our documents back. So it looks like everything was ready for him just to pick up/ post in a mail. In your case, if you can't hand over the required documents in person, it depends where you live and how long it takes the post office to deliver the document and then the the CORP back to you.

I just received and email from CIC requesting the FBI certificate. They are giving me a 90 day window to send it in to them. It looks like they want me to scan and email them the certificate.

Please note:
· Any documents submitted which are not in English or French must be accompanied by a notarized translation in either English or French.
· Please send us scanned versions of the requested documents. Please do not submit originals, unless otherwise stated, as documents submitted will not be returned.
· Please note that we can only accept unzipped PDF, JPG or .doc files that are attached to an email, totaling less than 5 MB.

The FBI received my request on Feb. 29th. Should I send in proof that it is in the works?(tracking slip/receipt) Or should I wait to receive the certificate and just send it in then?

They had also asked me to attach an Xpresspost label to my answer, thing that I did. Not sure why I did not get the same email than Fioti. A quick message to confirm that I got an update. I received an email from CPC-Ottawa today:
"Dear Applicant,

Please confirm your valid mailing address within North America.
Please note that if you are currently living abroad your documentation will be sent via regular mail, which does not allow for tracking. However, if you reside in Canada, please provide us with a shipping label to safely return your documentation.

Please reply to this email as soon as possible.

Regards,"
+ instructions to generate an xpresspost label and attach it in the reply.

Pretty strange that Paris is not following but that it's Ottawa, let's cross fingers. Keep you posted.
