yeah this whole sponsorship process has been clear as mud since the beginning.ayrazar said:Okay, the following post is ONLY WHAT I'VE BEEN ABLE TO GLEAN. I'm not God, just been on the forums a lot.
REGARDING IN PROCESS/AOR2/PPR
IP - When the APPLICANT status changes from application received to In Process, it means the file has been transfered to the second VO for PR processing. When the line 'started processing xxxxx's app on...' shows up, it means someone is actively working on the file (equivalent of AOR2)
AOR2- Remember AOR1 from Mississauga? This is the same, but for the second VO which processes the PR section. The same way AOR1 meant Mississauga had the app and was working on it, thus why SA comes soon afterward, AOR2 means someone physically has it in their hot little hands. Not every VO gives AOR2. This is why I count the 'started processing on' line under PR when In Process as AOR2 (see above)
PPR- For non visa-exempt countries, PPR is when they ask for your passport to stamp it with the visa to enter Canada and land. When you get it back, it's the same as getting a COPR is you are visa exempt. So, say India would get (a)a request to send their passport, then after awhile (b) the passport back int he mail stamped with the visa. An American just gets (b) in the form of a COPR. SO yeah, I can't think of a reason you'd be refused after PPR. Unless there was something wrong with your passport.
Clear as mud? Any other questions?
thank you for clearing that up though. really glad they started working on wifey's PR app so quickly.
