Hi everyone. It's time to introduce myself, it seems.

I got married to a Brazilian in November 2015, and we submitted our applications on December 9, 2015. They were received in Mississauga on December 10.

I received my AOR on February 9, and (interestingly) also received my SA letter the very next day. That's 62 days for SA from the time they received the applications (not bad considering it was over Christmas holidays), and a whopping 1 day from AOR to SA .

The SA letter indicated the PR application was headed for the visa Sao Paulo. (Yay!) Last time I checked, the Sao Paulo office is one of the fastest in the world for processing family class applications. I'm hoping this is still true, even though CIC no longer posts timelines for visa offices any longer.

There's a couple of outstanding issues. My wife lived in China for three years under a work visa, but the Chinese authorities have so far been unable to produce a police certificate. The second issue is that the photographer in Brazil did not follow the photograph specifications, so I'm pretty sure we're going to have to send new photos to them.

Other than that -- it's time to relax and wait!

Hokay, I think I'm up to date on everyone's posts. God, i cant have one day of work without you guys giving me 5 pages to read

CONGRATS TO ALL THE AOR AND SA!!!!!!!!!! I shall do my happy dance for my lovely December famjam.

Questions about addresses: I think if you put a Canadian address you have to include the letter for a representative for your sponsor. Seems to be the end note. Not sure though! Not experienced in this, just what I've seen.

Hi guys, we got AOR but no communication after that, we called and the agent said "its weird, i'll send a special note on ur file". Why could this happen? We r getting worried, is there any chance they might return the application after getting the AOR?

I'd be shocked. SA is just taking forever, maybe lost somehow. Dont panic.

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I sent my application on December 7th. They received it on December 9th. I tracked it and R.Mahmood signed it. I still haven't received my AOR. Kinda worried. :/ My husband is the principal applicant and he lives in Pakistan. I haven't called them yet either.

Indicate his date of birth. Hes been living there since he was born. U may include a letter indicating that he left for two years but now hes back .

Hi Maham, my application was received on Dec 10th and I got an AOR on Feb 4th. I'd suggest contacting CIC and check in with them. Either yours could be missed or getting in the mail if no email address was provided on the application.

Hello everyone, it's day 63 (7 days after AOR was sent) and I still haven't received SA. I just called CIC and they informed me to wait another month before calling them back again since the officers are currently working on files received up to December 23rd and will not be able to send anything out until mid March. He also checked my file and advised that there was no communication which was sent out to me.

I'm so nervous. Anyone else in the same boat as me? :'(

I'm so worried too. It's been 7 days today since AOR but no other communication
The agent told me to wait another month before calling again!

Hi there,

I was also married in Pakistan
It usually takes 2 days (average) for them to upload your information online and only then you'll be able to log-in using your UCI number to view status online.
SA normally takes 7 days (again average) however, I haven't received mine so far. My AOR was sent on Feb 3rd. I called CIC and they said to wait until 1 month to receive SA since CIC is currently working on applications sent until Dec 23rd.
