Hi. Apparently CIC can now process your application anywhere regardless of the country of your or your spouse's residence. Hence, they don't provide processing times for each visa office because you can't be sure where your application will be processed. However, I am sure that if your application will be processed in Colombo it still will be around 9 months, as you said. Below is the explanation CIC posted on its website.Saina said:Guys.m new to this forum.i applied on dec22nd.2015.i didn't get my AOR.guide me when l I get my AOR?n processing time is increased from 9months to 17months..for Colombo applicants :'(
"Why did processing times information change?
Prior to December 31, 2015, processing times for many of our services were displayed by visa office. This was useful when applications for permanent or temporary residence were always processed by the nearest visa office. However, we now have the ability to move applications around our global network to ensure they are processed as efficiently as possible. This means your application may not be processed at the office closest to where you live."
By the way, I sent my application December 21, I'm expecting to get my AOR next week.
Good luck!
