Question: When looking up ones application status,
1 - How long after AOR can I look up my status online?
2 - For Family name - when the last name of Sponsor is Jones and Last name of applicant is Smith Jr. which one is used on the site?

1. Usually with a calendar week, give or take
2. Sponsors DOB, surname, POB

Hi,I am in Canada and my wife is applying open work permit visa from back home and i am sponsoring her.

In the document checklist of the work permit applied outside of Canada has Family Information (IMM 5707) form which we have to submit. But when i went to cic website, step 2, http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5487ETOC.asp#5487E4 for guide there is Family information form available but its number is IMM 5645. On the same website page there is checklist in PDF and when i open, it is showing different form number for family information.

So can anyone tell me which form is relevant either IMM 5707 or IMM 5645, and both in checklist it is different form number and on website it is different..!

Hi Guys just want to update.. Now I am officially got Idea of having the SA coz I disnt receive any letter but my wife's permanent Residence Status just changed to In Process. What a big relief. Thank God I pass the first step..

I am the sponsored person, are you trying to say that once our status is changed to In Process it means we got the SA? Question: If we will not receive any email from CIC saying that the sponsorship has been approved then what letter are we going to send to Quebec government to get the CSQ as per the procedure we need the SA to get CSQ.

I already know that I have got my SA when I called the CIC they said my letter is in transit. I am very sorry I dont have any idea about csq coz I live in Toronto and I guess it is not applied to us..

I don't have anything about medical received even though our medical was done upfront. Does anyone has the same E-Cas update?

Were quite the same time line but for me its state like this:
1. We received your application to sponsor XXXX XXXXX on November 2, 2015.
2. We started processing your application on January 22, 2016

Even i completed the upfront still no Medical received

Interesting. Maybe we will get an update by tomorrow because it says online that they update e-cas on Tuesdays.

I guest you got the email too.. I just received too the email. All I thought its gonna be in the post coz the CIC told me it is in the transit already.. Weird but thanks coz its safer in the email.. Anyway my wife and sons papers are forwarded to in Manila but my eCAS has no update yet..
