Hi amitrathiesh, rahul20978, Atifbutt1928, and here_I_come!

One more question :-\

I asked the City Police Officer personally and he kindly agreed that I can collect my new PCC on Nov 25. My deadline expiry date is Nov 27 (30 days starting from Oct 28). Can I scan my new PCC on Nov 25, attach and raise a CSE explaining the delay, and send it via courier on the same day. What do you all say?

Please advise! Thanks

Hi all,

I have applied in December 2014 and got visa at the end of August 2015. I have done medicals in the beginning of July therefore, our visa expiry is of July 2015.

I planned to perform landing in May 2016. But couple of my acquaintance suggested not to delay landing as it will be a problem on arrival. I am still unable to understand that if there is expiry on visa and if we do landing anytime before expiry, then there wouldn't be a problem.

Please suggest if some came across to perform landing after 10 months to visa issuance but before expiry?

Thanks

You are absolutely right in your thought process. You are free to land anytime before expiry of visa or before the expiry of your passports. Whichever is earlier.

Thank you amitrathiesh!

So I have just submitted request for a new PCC which shall take 5-6 days min. If I send it through courier, it'll take another 7 days.

I received the email on October 28 to submit Medical, PCC and RPRF within 30 days from the date of the email. Certainly, I won't be able to meet the deadline of Nov 28. How do I request my Program Assistant for additional days to submit my documents.

Please guide me. Thank you.

Dear i think, u can get PCC in maximum 2 days as u know this requires you to give them some urgent kind of fees u know what i mean and if you get it in 2 days then you can meet your deadline easily

You can land as long as your visa is valid. Just make sure your status remains the same while you land. That means, if you were single during application, don't marry before you land. If you're married, don't think of having babies before you land.

Change of status before landing will put your visa on hold, you'll have to go through many difficulties informing VO and submitting new papers.

I hope you understand now.

Guys,

I received a letter named Request for Submission of Documents. It says that CIC needs:
1. Police certificate for my wife
2. Medical examinations. “The required forms with detailed instructions will be sent to you by a separate e-mail”
3. Payment of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee for yourself and your spouse

So the questions are:
1. Does this email mean that I am eligible already or that the review will start after I submit these documents?
2. Should I pay the fee for myself (I am the principal applicant) and my wife? What about the kids, should I pay for them too? I have two young children (6 and 1,5 y.o.)

Thank you all for your help!

1. Your final eligibility is dependent on the results of your medical tests, and after scrutinizing your wife's PCC. There may be further background checks at this stage. If rejected for any reason, the RPR fees will be refunded to you.
2. RPRF is only applicable to adults (primary applicant and dependents 18 years and older), not to children. So you don't have to pay for your kids.
