On sending PASSPORTS for stamping of PR Visa, does a valid Canadian Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) get cancelled?
My valid TRV is on my old passport, would I need to give BOTH passports (IF they need to cancel the TRV)

MY MEDICAL DONE ON 02ND SEPT 2015.
ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED OF CONVICTIONAL ACQUATTAL DELIEVERED TO THEM ON 12TH OCTOBER.
AFTER THAT,NO UPDATE FROM CIC.ECAS STATUS SHOWS 'YOUR MEDICAL RESULTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED.
PLEASE HELP ME.

I am a Pakistani Applicant. I didn't submit police certificate with my application dated Dec 09, 2014 and now London Visa Office has requested me to submit it. As not to delay the process I thought I should have it ready before they ask me to submit it so I obtained it on May 21, 2015 (the date on Police Certificate). Is it still valid?

According to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.​

PCC is valid for 6 months. But if they are asking you to send PCC, you must submit an updated one. So may be you need a fresh PCC.

I received the email on October 28 to submit Medical, PCC and RPRF within 30 days from the date of the email. Certainly, I won't be able to meet the deadline of Nov 28. How do I request my Program Assistant for additional days to submit my documents.

Please guide me. Thank you.

The question now is why did you delay?

We should always be on the "offensive" i.e to be prepared to respond to CIC was they make a request. This is the only process we can control to ensure we know the next steps and be prepared adequately to respond.

Please go to the Pakistani police as see what you can do to facilitate a prompt release of Police clearance certificate. Are the processes for expedited service.

Once the PCC is ready you can use a good courier. it should arrive there on time. Alternatively look out for anyone that is travelling to UK to hand carry the PCC and submit on your behalf.

You can consider also sending an email to CIC pleading for extension.

To avoid all this always be prepared .

You could email them asking for the extension for producing the new PCC. Also you may attach the old PCC along with the mail.

You can scan it and send the soft copy immediately by raising a CSE. And also request enough time to send the physical copy

Rahul is right
just get you PCC and send a scan copy straight away and inform them about the delay. Also send the one you already have right now and raise a CSE for extension.

Finally received much awaited MR, RPRF and Updated Information request yesterday.

Strange thing that my case shifted to and fro between DRD and MCH.


Medical forms will be sent within 2 to 3 days otherwise I need to contact them again.

Congrats George. I hope the next steps will be clear very soon. Pray for the of us who are still waiting for mr emails; specially those who are from Singapore Visa Office. They haven't touched November-December files yet.
