Finally got the MR and Payment request... however I got request for PCC & They asked me to renew my passport as well...question is how quickly can I get PCC, passport kendra says 40 days (Canada wants everything in 30 days)... Will the email from Canada requesting a passport renewal be enough to get my passport in Tartkal?

So the two questions I have
1. Any clue as to how to get PCC faster? Can anyone guide me
2. Will the email from Canada immigration be enough to use for Tartkal?

N If you are in india then you can have PCC wdin 15 to 20 days from Police station OR wdin 2 days from Passport kendra.........

You can apply online from passport office and get an appointment within a week.

2. Will the email from Canada immigration be enough to use for Tartkal?
Passport office doesn't consider Canada immigration email but you can chose online for tatkaal as your are renewing passport. I did it online and they wanted my old passport and identification card. I got my passport within 1 week after submission of documents.

Is there anyone from Colombo visa office who recently got MR request?

I got my AOR on 24th March 2015 and my visa office shifted to Colombo instead of NDVO and following are my details:

Visa Office: Colombo but I am from India
NOC: 2172
PCC: Yet to submit

You can apply online from passport office and get an appointment within a week.

2. Will the email from Canada immigration be enough to use for Tartkal?
Passport office doesn't consider Canada immigration email but you can chose online for tatkaal as your are renewing passport. I did it online and they wanted my old passport and identification card. I got my passport within 1 week after submission of documents.

Thanks mate... Yeah I've just applied to get my Passport. The problem is there are multiple changes 1. Address, 2. Spouse, so I've all those documents and I am trying to arrange some more. Also, till I finish my new passport application it won't let me take another appointment. So I will wait till I finish my appointment to do this. I need to give myself 1 week for the documents to reach the place so time is of the essence.

They need everything in 1 month!! Any clue how long the docs take to send the MR to CIC? I am suffering from a severe cold so I am thinking of going after a week once i'm cured (damn monsoon!)

Generally, if the hospital has e-medical facility it takes 3-5 working days to upload the reports online.

There are many people like you whose application got transferred to Colombo or other VO like Warsaw etc. despite of all of them belonging to India. So don't worry... it has been common with the December applications particularly.

My medicals were received by vo on may 25, and a week ago I sent my wife's pcc from italy, for the period she's lived there.
How long do you think it is going to take until they request our passports? This waiting time is killng us

Patience is the key my frnd. Also they dont always ask for POF. its very random.
