Hi Guys,

I have a question, can one apply for Canadian Visitor visa while there PR is pending? I was thinking of visiting Canada to get the feel of the country. Would applying for Visa affect my PR process?

I've applied for FSW category with NOC 2131 end of December 2014,from DHL tracking report I came to know it has been received by CIO,Sydney,NC.But till now I've not heard anything about my application, no AOR ,no mail...nothing..its almost 5 months now & I'm worried ..can you please advise ..what should I do?

Most people, whose file reached CIC around 30th or 31st were late to submit their files, (for any reason) and the quota of 25000 for FSW was filled by that time. Majority of the files were returned and people recieve files in regular mail (which is very slow).

So I'm afraid, your situation falls into that category, so expect a file back from them. You can also call CIC to see if they have you into the system, but i believe with no input so far, it means on the verge of returning.

we need patience, there is still a backlog, you can read on this forum that July applicant are still waiting for a progress

Normally they are reluctant to issue any visa for such candidates for such purpose, because you already expressed your self as your intentions to stay in canada for ever. So they wait till your outcome. If you got refused then the process may effect considering the reason for refusal.

Sometime your visit visa issuance may take longer than usual time, what if in the meanwhile you will be asked to submit passport for FSW. Personal experiance submitted passports for my parents in november 2014, till the date no news.

Application date: 12 Dec, 2014
PER: 28 Feb, 2015
AOR: 8 April 2015
Visa office: File transferred to WVO from NDVO
No second line update till now.

Please advice when should I expect the MR mail. I would appreciate your help.

Maximum 2 weeks, but it may be 2 days

Application received on 4th December,2014. NOC is 3142. CC charged on 26th January,2015.

Still not received the PER? Anyway we can check the status?

You may certainly try to contact them over the phone..you may check the phone number on the previous pages. You might want to download a google app (magic app) to make free call to Canada.

I got AOR from Colombo Visa office on 07th April so the file has transferred to Colombo. Should I call them instead Canada? Total 44 Days after AOR. Do you think it's normal period for MR?
