Hello fellow December 2014 applicants. I got confirmation that my application was received at CIO Sydney on December 24, 2014. I got my PER Email on March 22, 2015. I have not received an AOR. As I understand it not all VOs send AOR. I figure CPC-Ottawa is one of those that does not. No matter, the PER was enough for me to know that they have done that initial review and now it has gone from Sydney to Ottawa. Good luck to you all in achieving your Canadian immigration dreams. :D

I am yet to receive my AOR too.

i still haven't heard anything from CIC. this waiting seems like eternity. who knows when the fswp2014 is closing officially.

We may not ever receive one. Apparently as I have read elsewhere, not all VOs send them.

I hope not. I think that was one of the things they checked for during PER...if the CAP was already met for your NOC. I would imagine that they would have also checked to make sure that the overall cap wasn't already met...I hope.

EDIT:
Maybe not...I was reading in another post that the 25,000 overall cap may have been reached and that some applicants with applications that were received in late December are getting their applications returned and fees refunded to them. Since this is the December submission thread...has anyone in here had this happen to them? I am really scared now. :'(

If you've got your PER, it means you are within the cap. The people whose applications are being returned never got PERs. Stay hopeful, friend. You know what they say, it's not over till it's over.

Hi everyone,

I checked my application status by calling on the helpline last month and they said that my documents are returned due to cap reach of my category. Documents were sent back on 27th Feb 2015 according to the helpline. I have still not received them. How much time does it take to get back the documents? Is there any way to check the status of the package where it is. I sent my payment through a DD which was part of the parcel. In case my parcel never reaches me how I will encash my DD here?

Dear sorry to hear about ur application package ..well try EE as u have everything done..

Well it takes around 45 to 60 days to get the parcel back.. also u can check with local post regarding ur envelope as well as most of the times people have to get in touch with them to get the package..

Regarding DD , u can encash it by asking the issuing authority to cancel it and i think they will ask about certain stamp or affidavit and then it will be encashed..

Hope this will help.

Regards

Hi Raja,

Thanks for the response. I will try to check with my local post office but I don't even have any tracking number for it. For the EE I haven't gone through the new process yet and I applied myself without any consultant's help. Will need some time to know how exactly it works.
