My frnd ,first off all ,in fswp 2014 they accepted total 25500 applications which were divided by 1000 application for each one noc category and 500 for phd stream, It was mandatory.Secondly they could not received more then 1000 applications for one noc category. . So how global cap impact on this system.. because they can not mix noc category with each other.. each category has own fix quota. . For example 1000 applications × 25 categories =25000

There were 50 categories , the categories were increased this time because this was the last time.

Hi guys

Do you think this year will be fast on process because it's the last year for FSW or its gona be the same like before ?

Global cap reached is an official version some people shared. So there is no point of discussion left how it was reached. It is better to go for other options such as EE without delaying any further. God bless you.

I guess it should be faster as they are also aware that EE has come to stay. Delaying the processing of the last set of FSW would be indicting the competence of cic themselves which am sure they won't permit to happen.

The timelines has been the fastest to me from the global spreadsheets. So let give kudos to the visa processing team and hope for the best too.

Dear All,

Still no reply!

My details are as follows -

NOC : 0015
Application Recvd ; 18th Dec
DD charged: 11 Feb 2015
PER: 7th March 2015

The PER stated that the final authority was with the visa office, but did not mention which is my visa office.
It is more than a month now ...wondering?

Maybe but the key thing is that CIC themselves made an effort in reducing processing time. Though it still varies from case to case but overall speed has been reported to be relatively improved compared to the past programs. See more here: http://www.fsw2014.info/cic-moving-extra-fast/

Thaty

They have emedical in ecuador and i saw my file on the doctors system.
my question is, if its like this, do i still need to send something to spvo?

Yuri, he can have The system but not a on-line one. Try to check with him again and confirm The information he gave to u.
Suggest u to do it today just to avoid any delay on your process.

Keep updating us and good luck!

Having 2 caps, individual NOC and overall global cap makes sense. If there were only overall cap of 25,000 and no cap for individual NOC, there would be an imbalance. Let's not worry so much about this as this we can't change.

Thanks Tathy. I got a hold if them today and was informed that my VO is Cairo. So I hope this VO is not a slow one. Do you have any info?

Really?? As I know, all apps from Cairo were transferred to CPC-Ottawa for security reasons.

Per CIC site:

"Visa office in Cairo, Egypt

Temporary closure of the visa office in Cairo.

Please note that for security reasons the office in Cairo is temporarily closed until further notice. CIC continues to monitor developments closely.
Temporary visa applications (visitors, students and workers) can be submitted online.
Applicants can also submit their documents and fees to Visa application centres (VACs) in Cairo. VACs improve service by helping clients avoid unnecessary delays due to incomplete applications, and by facilitating the reliable and secure transfer of documents between clients and visa offices."

Seniors and forumites, please, correct me if I am wrong.
