Am I right in saying that we are up to 17th Dec applicants for PER?

If CIC reject your application, they will send you an email called NER
If CIC accept your application, they will send you an email called PER.

So no matter what, you will get an email from them telling what is their decision. Until that happens, we all are still in the race. Be patient and enjoy your days by not worrying something that is not in our control now.

This is an obvious question but it's just for clarity. The email goes to the within the application, therefore if this is done via a consultant I will have to wait for my consultant to let me know?

Is there anyway I can check direct should my consultant be on holiday...

Dial CIC (+16139444000).
*Navigate through IVR (1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 3, 1).
*IVR will ask your application id. Don't wait for it to ask for 3 times before it routes you forward, just press # and it will instantly ask for your year of birth in 'YYYY'. Put the year of your birth.
*IVR will tell you the waiting period before your call can be answered by an agent. Or if the call traffic is too high, it will ask you to call again later.
*As soon as you get to the agent, just ask for the UCI#. They do not have any status information for FSW applications. Agent will ask for your last name, first name and date of birth. After some seconds, you will have your UCI#, if they have started processing your app.
If you get quick with the IVR, you can reach the waiting period (point# 5 above) within 2 minutes otherwise it may take around 6 to 7 mins before you are asked to wait for an agent. I tried to contact on above method but at the end they told due to high volume of app they are not able to transfer to agent how should I contact to check status

I sent my app on 27th dec and reached on 5th jan 15 hope that cic will consider otherwise I had to receive it back till now
