Very nice question and observation from you as regards the ecstasy ;D surrounding receipt of PER. As you rightly said, it's a step forward (hence, it's good news kind of). So I wouldn't blame anyone celebrating such. Some people get their files returned upon receipt by CIC, while few get NER even after being charged. Hence for the fact that not everyone gets PER, I think it's a thing of joy while hoping for the next positive stage. Besides, once you have your PER, you are almost 70-80% sure of getting PR.

Congrats to all the PERers.. ;D while also wishing goodluck to those that are yet to receive. 8)

Making PER means
1 - You've made the Cap!
2 - Your points tally is above 67, and accepted for now (before any verification).

There are certain folks who are barely making 67 points (In my case I had to forfeit 8 years of 0911 category experience because my former employer refused to give me a letter describing my role & responsibilities .. something about not being in company policy. I didn't have time to contest that and rushed for the 31st Dec deadline).

Folks like us would be over the moon on getting a PER, just barely.

She looked for it but couldnt find the FSW application, only the EE

Which is a good sign, she said that had the application been returned for whatever reason then my name would have shown up on the system and just to wait to be charge due to the large volume of applications received in December (my app received date is 12-29)

are u sure that when some one"s name is in their system then their application is returned? because I have heard the reverse from the agent.mine is 23 dec not charged yet but the agent said your name is in system and fortunately your application is not returned and its just in the que

Payment is taken on completeness of application ie have you got all the relevant documentation

PER is the eligibility check, so do you meet the points criteria 67+
