Guys called CIC.. The operator gave me my file number.. Checked my status online with that number and it says " in process" does that mean a PER??? As I am yet to receive an email. Please let me know!

I have got my UCI a week ago from an agent , but Yet my ECAS is not live ,

Bro how and when does this ECAS become live??????????? Because even i have been given a UCI# but when i enter it to check my status , it simply refuses to recogonise me!

still have to wait to go live. I heard 2 days ago a 16 Dec was able to see his status but no one from 17 Dec has reported live ECAS.

Hello All,

This might seem like a stupid question but still had to ask.
Why is getting a PER considered a good news .. I mean I understand that its a step forward and all but there is a fair chance of rejection isn't there ? So far I have seen people being very ecstatic as if their application is approved and they have the PR already.

I don't mean to be offensive to anyone just trying to understand the intensity of receiving a PER. Also cause I received mine yesterday i.e. 26/02 but obviously the letter mentions nothing decided yet and VO office will tale the final decision ....

MI stands for ministerial instructions. During this process CIC will scrutinise all ur supporting documents and will award you points based on the authenticity of docs. If you attain more than 67 points and if ur NOC is not capped they will issue you positive review of eligibility (PER)

So relax and enjoy the wait
