That is correct, it will further add few more days to delay. Because actually the process works in this way:- you can consider your bank as an indvidual who have an account in one of the bank in Canada. Now your bank has issued DD, it means that your bank has issued a check for a sum of money to be withdraw from their account in the Canadian bank and given to Receiver General of Canada. Therefore the verification of signature and re-confirmation with issuing bank via Swift message system, sometimes might cause delays. But I think once the CIO/CIC have considered your application complete and sent your DD to bank you have already counted in the CAP. Because in case if DD has a problem, CIO will ask you to send revised DD. They will not return your application. It has happened with some FSWP2014 applicants that CIO found some difficulty in encashing of their DD, so CIC informed by email to them to send new payment method or new DD.
