I am very silent member of this forum, really appreciated your effort for guiding/advising every member of this forum in appropriate and positive way.
I have something to ask and I also think that your answer will give at least some kind of hopes to me.

My application received date is 17th December 2014 for NOC 3234, y’day I have spoken with CIC regarding my application status and the lady officer informed me that my application was returned on 12th January 2015 and when I asked about the reason, she mentioned that the “Birth Certificate” was not available with the application, but we have already sent “Affidavit cum declaration ( If in case Birth certificate not available)” to CIC.

In this case can I resend my application to CIC with cover note mentioning about substitute declaration which was already attached? Do they going to consider my application for FSW 2014? When I can expect a delivery of my returned application?

My lawyer also doesn’t have any appropriate answer on this, plz advice.

I called CIC today , I was being charged on 5th of feb. I asked them about my UCI # ... they said that the file is not opened yet ... what does this means ? Since, there is one more candidate who was charged on the same date and his file got open with the status showing " In process " ... What does this means that file is not opened yet ? :/ , whereas I was already charged ...

I think the guy is bluffing, he simply just wants to get a rid of you. Since you've been charged then you already have a UCI #. Just call back and hope the other person on the end of the line is more cooperative.

@von0904 and @sindychan35 - If a mail by post has been sent it takes roughly 6-8 weeks to arrive, if you have provided the address correctly it will reach you soon. Stay positive and wish you all the best.

@farzanaisme - When was your application received date and signed by Donnie? I would suggest you wait for few more days and then call CIC to get further information

What you need to do is get your UCI # from them. Call them back and ask for it. The good news is (As I see it) they informed you its "in process" and not rejected, because if it was rejected they would of told you straight and simple. Second thing, check your bank statement there maybe a chance you got charged but wasnt aware of it.
Finally, Just put in mind getting the information from CIC depends mainly on the other guy at the end of the line.

Your welcome. Just put in mind that giving you an UCI # doesn't mean that you were accepted because even rejected ones get UCIs too. Now you need to do two things, check your bank statement to confirm the payment has been done and at the same time check your status online using your UCI # . When you see the statement "In process" that means your application has been accepted but needs further investigation meaning you are waiting at that point for your PER report.(Positive Eligibility Review).

Is the overall cap has already been reached?
Can anyone clarify why cic not charging or charging at very slow pace now?

Hay Shahimran I am a 12 Dec appl and just got charged yesterday. I didn't lose hope and was patient. The good thing that I can tell you is that you are still in the race and the final # of applicants till your date didn't yet reached the total cap.
Call them and ask about your current status and ask them also to provide you with your UCI#. Everything will be alright.

Just hoping that DD should be encashed this week or maybe the next week. I am still not sure about the cap of my noc, though I believe it is one of the coldest one.

One thing I would like to clarify is that my wife is the PA but the email mentioned in the generic form is mine .

Does that make any difference for CIC while communicating ? I had also attached my wife's visiting card in which her official email was stated.

Will CIC communicate on the email mention in the form or the one stated on the visiting card of my spouse ?

Can anyone advise on that .

The CIC will communicate on the email address mentioned on the form (i.e yours). Listen, My advise is always have hope , yes I can understand the mental status you are going through and I know it can drive a person crazy but on the other hand as long you didn't receive any news from them at this point I believe that your Wife's application is accepted. Gather your courage and call them, just know what to ask, make it short and simple, for example you can say I want know my current status and then ask for your UCI#. From my personal point of view, since your wife is a cold NOC then I feel much more relaxed and eased its just a matter of time.

Call them today and ask them one straight question: Has my application been rejected or not. Its better to know were u are standing than not knowing anything at all. Wish you the best.

Just a quick note for everyone who has not recieved anything positive to stay optimistic. I was told a while back that if you haven't heard anything already (via post/email) than your application is most likely to be ok, and awaiting charge - I'm not sure how close to the truth this is but apparently all applications should have been check already. This was said in the forum a few weeks back.

If you haven't heard any bad news then just brace yourself for payment of come sort and everybody keep talking as communication is key here.

I've noticed on other forums that once payment is made the following processes have been blitzed and people are getting passport requests in 2 months, which is crazy.

So the wait might be difficult now but as CIC office are keen to start looking at EE they seem to have an agenda to get the FSW 14 applications done as quickly as possible - only risk here is that they make an error in judgement using this approach.
