The recent file rejections have been mostly because of job duties mis-match. Even applications sent through experienced consultants are also returned stating similar issues. Is this a genuine problem or a way to deny the applications to clear the backlog?

This is a very good question.

An applicant just posted on the FSW 2014 thread saying that the CIC operator informed him that the NOC 1123 has already reached the capped limit since mid October 2014!!! Is that possible? i dont get it. CIC site showed only 385 apps out of 1000max in mid December.

Here's the post: FSW 2014 Applicants Timeline- Lets Network Here.
Author's name: rajig

(sorry cant post links yet)

Can anyone confirm this please?

The noc 1123 is one of the hottest nocs. According to the last update by CIC (published in this thread on page 164 by user mhussein) there were 822 applicants out of 1000, not 385.

It is well known that this numbers although published in December, reflected the apps received till October, max November. So I personally think there is a good chance that this noc is already capped.

Sorry to be the one to give you bad news.

Buy why don't you check in the ss when was the last charge for this noc. That would give more light in this issue.

Hi Friends, Do you know how to contact CIC? I do not have application number and I submitted my application on Dec 19. I just wanted to make an inquiry. I heard from friends that sending email to CIO is not helpful because they never reply or they reply very late (couple months). thank you

Guys just now called CIC and got my UCI and application no. From a kind lady. She asked to check the status after 2 more weeks since there is no update yet. I was charged on 11th Feb

Best of luck to all of us ;D

I personally don't think it matters whether it is a debit card or a credit card. The card should have sufficient balance to cover the fees when they process it. If it is a debit card, make sure your corresponding bank account has enough credits to support any transaction, and that the debit card does not expire soon. That's all.

You dont need to make a fuss over it.

Seniors, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I completely agree with you. I know several applicants who have received their COPR and they used Debit cards.

Follow the below procedure to call CIC call centre

1. Download Google Hangouts (optional) on your phone if it has an android or an apple OS.

2. Dial CIC (+16139444000). It costs nothing if you are done with option 1.

3. Navigate through IVR (1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 3, 1).

4. IVR will ask your application id. Don't wait for it to ask for 3 times before it routes you forward, just press # and it will instantly ask for your year of birth in 'YYYY'. Put the year of your birth.

5. IVR will tell you the waiting period before your call can be answered by an agent. Or if the call traffic is too high, it will ask you to call again later.

6. As soon as you get to the agent, just ask for the status of your application. Agent will ask for your last name, first name and date of birth. Finally ask your UCI# which you will get only once you are charged.

If you get quick with the IVR, you can reach the waiting period (point# 5 above) within 2 minutes otherwise it may take around 6 to 7 mins before you are asked to wait for an agent.
