AOR Acknowledgement of receipt letter.
BDEC Background Decision
CC Credit Card
CHC Canadian High Commission – refers to the Canadian embassies, Visa offices, and Consulates.
CIC Citizenship and Immigration, Canada – the umbrella body which governs both CIO and local CHC offices
CIO Centralized Intake Office in Sydney Nova scotia – where you sent your application. Sometimes it is mentioned as CIU (Centralized Intake Unit).
DD Demand Draft (Bank Draft / Certified Cheque / Money Order)
ECA Educational Credential Assessment
ECAS Client Application Status, an official CIC service which allows to view the status of your application on-line
FD Fixed Deposit
FILE BF'D TO File Brought Forward date

FOSS is a central database of applications

Hello Everyone,.,my file has been received on 15th of December by embassy and my NOC category is 2281,.,.,i just want to know about following things:_

1. Where i can get cap status for 2281
2. How many chances are for my file to process
3. One of my friend has sent the file on 10th of November and he has got his file number on 30 January ,.,.!!

2. No one knows. They stopped charging NOC 2281 on November 21st.

Hi Seniors

NOC - 2172
Application Received Date - December 15, 2014
Application Status - Rejected

I just now called up CIC to ask for my app status.. they said it has been reviewed and returned bck today .. reason being some documents missing... I have attached all the required and mandatory documents?? My HR didnot issue me a letter with Roles and Responsibilities.. bt she gave employment letter stating Designation, DOJ, Hrs wrked per week etc... For JOb Duties, I presented a letter from manager along with his Business Card and from a colleague...

What can be there which is missing?? and what can be their expectations?? Any suggestions or idea?? And further what can be done with it?

Initial processing means completeness check and MI review. You may get charged any time and then wait for 20-25 days for PER

my NOC is 1113
App recived date: 22-Dec
No update as yet

but on forum somebody posted that 22-Dec apps CC is being charged. then what about 17-18-19-20 apps ? how can they jump all of a sudden ?

why there is no charge from 1113 noc

It has been more than 2 months since my application was received on 8 Dec 2014 for NOC 0112....There has been no update on charging of CC...Should I be worried...... :-[ :-[ :-[

ksphr, no need to worry. Just to share with you yesterday many NOC 2281 applicants called CIC and ask about the status of their application including myself.
Same reply we got from CIC call agent that our file are still not opened. My presumption to this is that CIC is doing batch process with FIFO rule.
We also asked about CAP of NOC 2281, but they are reluctant to share information and they told us that wait until end of February or 1st of March.

In case we have not received any information during the given time period. We can call again and follow up the status of our application.

Note: As per the timeline posted from another forums by managersonline, if not mistaken we need to wait 86-89 days and CIC does follow this rule.

Hope this help and let us hope that all FSW 2014 applicants be successful immigrating to Canada.
