Guys, going by an average of 3k applications per month, and discounting Oct/Nov/Dec applications in the latest CIC update, don't you think that December application might be in jeopardy with regards to the overall cap of 25k. No one seems to be talking about that.

Will a 31st Dec file fall under the 25k cap?
I FIRMLY SECOND YOU. PREVIOUSLY I RAISED THE ISSUE THAT IF THE CAP UPDATES ARE OF MID OCTOBER THEN WE DECEMBER APPLICANTS ARE OUT OF THE GAME CAUSE OVERALL CAP HAS BEEN REACHED BY NOW. BUT NOBODY GAVE IT A CHANCE, BECAUSE ALL OF US ARE AFRAID TO ADMIT THE WORST POSSIBILITY.
LETS HOPE NOTHING LIKE THAT HAPPENED....WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO THAN THIS.

Can others comment on this issue?

Has anyone studied the SS for possible exhaustion of the overall 25k cap before December?

Hello Oxman,

Although , it is not officially mentioned in the cic website, however if you check officeholidays.com for canada , it shows 25 and 26th as holiday in canada.

Regards
Inderpsi

I cannt post links :( but pending applications (Complete applications waiting for MI) is total 4565. This is over and above 11544 current in process apps. this give a total of around 16110 applications they had on their hands. This status was updated on 2014-12-16 when this column was added. I guess this should provide a clue about how many application they will receive before filling the cap. I believe its 5000 or so more application before this cap filled assuming everyone got absolute ape during December and submitted applications for themselves, their spouse(s) and god forbid their dog(s) too....

Hi,
I got your point. but there we need to understand something that CIC is responsible org and they simply dont give us the wrong figures. As published in their site on 16th Dec would be possibly correct figure. One more thing we need to consider that no. of applications rejection due to incomplete applications and this will definitely gives chance to correct application to get approved. So all we need to do is make sure that our applications are complete and have a faith.

This is my personal view, I apologies if I hurt someone bymistake.

I have a slightly different take on this. I believe that the cost of taking chance with CIC even now is not high enough (around INR 50~60K or so) while the rewards, if we succeed are immense. Hence the logical decision should be to take a chance.

Personally I think applications received till mid November are included in latest Update. But there is nothing we can do should have sent applications earlier all we can do is pray so best of luck to all of us including me :)

Yes. I completely agree with you. Let's take a chance (We are taking it)

No. Its not correct. CIC will accept the application till the 31st Dec or till the CAP reached.

I think that it is related to the NOC itself. Some NOCs are already filled up or about being capped.

How come your VO is Toronto :P :P :P

Just one more thing folks, in the latest form, we donot have to state local VO explicitly right? or have I made a mistake because I didnt see any place to state that. ???
