I have a question regarding PCC:

Me and my spouse stayed in Philippines in 2010 and got our PCC done immediately after filing the application to CIC. The validity of the PCC is Jan 2016.
Now I have received a request for meds and PCC, so can I go ahead and send this PCC as its still valid.

As read somewhere in this forum, the PCC cannot be more than 3 months old? Is this applicable for all countries or for the country you are from?
I will be applying for a NEW PCC from India Passport website this week

Thanks

I am not a senior and don't have lots of experience but let me tell u from my personal experience it's better to ask your visa office by email.. You dont want to take chances at this stage.. And i am sure u have a deadline for submitting the pcc, so don't wait , send them an email immediately. My visa office is paris and they have always replied to my questions within a few days..

Dear,
There is No need to email the VO.
The expiry date of a PCC does not count.
Only the issue date counts.

For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.
For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.

CIC Link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

It is safer if the issue date is not more then 3 months for the current residency.

Hope it helps,
Regards

Hello friends

I am really pleased to tell you that I received my passport and CPR yesterday! My application date is December 23, 2014.

I cant tell you how happy we are. JUST one tiny little detail ::) They misspelled my middle name on the Visa, they have written Elizabeth without the final H. Funny because its not even a foreign name is the name of their Queen jejejejeje. Fortunately all of the other documents are correct (CPR) fuif!.

Anyway, I wrote to them as soon as I notice asking what to do. I think worst case scenario I will have to pay another $100 for the courier

I recommend that you guys read your papers very carefully !

Wish you all the luck :P

Hey guys I just received an email from the Vienna Office for the final steps of the process.
As it was stated in the PDF they sent me, I don't have to send them my passport. They just need the first page of the pdf and the receipt for the RPRF.

Because the photos that they have of me are not older than 18 month, I don't have to send new photos and it was stated that I can just send them an e-mail. Did anyone of you have the same experience. Is it normal? Or would I be on the safe side to send them everything by ordinary mail?

like to know what you guys think.

Dear,
First of all congrats.

I have not seen/heard a similar case, maybe someone else has.
But,

Rule of thumb !
Follow their email/letter (instructions) only ! :D

Next is PPR... 8)

Best of luck

Oh my God,

I finally found someone who got any kind of news from Vienna :). First of all, congrats on your final process and do not worry or panic, you will get PPR very very soon!!! I have been waiting since 25 June when we did our medicals and we have got no news since then. I was very about it till the moment I read your post. It encourages me a lot!

Good luck!!

meds done.
Thank you.

Hello guys!

We did our medicals on 25 June and we have been waiting since then, meanwhile I sent them an email with inquiry if everything is alright with the medical results and documents, they replied that documents were received and I should wait for further steps in the process.

What do you think, any suggestions? Should I be worried?

Thank you so much.
