For your NOC there was one person charged on 27th January Application date was 3rd December. I believe the charging for this NOC is a little slow. But I am sure it will get charged.

Hi my application received by CIC on 5th December 2014 and NOC is 2281 through DD. When can I expect the PER? not sure if they already encash my DD.

Sorry to hear about your cap being filled, but are you sure that your app was did not make it in the cap??? since you have not heard back from CIC for all this time, there might be a glimmer of hope??? Why not reach to other forumites from the same NOC and see if those before your date or after your date have already received their apps back??

First thing to do is to have the bank that issued the demand draft for you issue a TRACER on it and see if it was cashed already or not. If it has not been cashed and 6 months have elapsed since the DD was issued, then it cannot be cashed and CIC will return it with the application, you can even have your bank cancel and not wait for the original to reach you (all of this from 4 different experiences with CIC and demand drafts)


Have you applied via a consultant / a lawyer / or a representative?? Then you need to check with them on the returned app, if not then read below

If CIC was to return your app, and speaking from experience, CIC will return your app via regular mail to the address that you affixed on the 2 address labels that you mailed with your application, depending on the country where the address is located, it could take so time, from 2 weeks to 2 months so you need to keep an eye on that p o box or address that you included,

The DD will be returned with the application as well, so you need to take it to the bank that issued and cash it from that bank (it will be a cancellation and not cashing, so you should get the total face value back)
