Hi Guys, What I don't understand is the assumption by fellow forum members that if December applicants are not posting on the forum or updating the December spreadsheet, then it means they are no longer active?. We all are not compelled to report every tiny un-useful information just for sake of posting on the forum.

Applicants giving specific information such as given by forum members who have successfully given their test "thecoolguysam" and "yyzhuang" or by "Fonkou' about the fingerprint request he received, are useful guidelines for the rest of us who are on this journey. There is a lot more useful information posted by many members apart from the ones I indicated above but the ones mentioned above were done only to emphasis and acknowledge the usefulness of this forum and I apologize if I have not mentioned all the forum members who contributed useful information.

The light heartedness such as Wearing suits to await AOR or wearing Bermuda shorts to receive test invite or spreading of Magic sprinkles spread by some forum members gives a human touch to this journey as it makes you realize that everyone though far away from each other is still a member of the fraternity :D

I cannot vouch for other forum members who are not posting or updating their details on the spreadsheet, but I for one visit this page as well as the December spreadsheet everyday. There is no update on my case from CIC and as reported by others, cases are stuck "in process" or "received". There is nothing anybody can do to make them move any faster then when and if CIC decides to move them to the next stage.

I hope I don't offend anyone with above ranting, but I realized that if I don't post, I might be removed from the December spreadsheet as I have no update from CIC other then "Received" since February 27, 2015. :-[
Some members have not reported to us in 4 months so we can assume they are no longer active on the forum. And since everybody has received their AOR by now, we don't want to keep outdated information as a lot of us are checking the spreadsheet everyday and have been wondering why some of us still don't see the AOR.
As for a lot of us complaining about timeline well I feel that we are just being super impatient ;) But we are always happy when one of our members get an update. As you may know, we have been the most active thread on the whole forum :)

Edit: after double checking, some members "unknown" have not reported to us in almost 5 months.

As indicated time and time again in many posts by forum senior "DonValley" and "Eileen", there is no useful correlation data to be obtained from spreadsheets other then the information of the forum members and where their individual case is at. One cannot get any data that would shed any light on how CIC works on each case so that one can say with certainty "I applied on December 30th 2015 , CIC will Send me AOR on 15th January, 2015, Transfer to local office on 20th Feb 2015 , test on 12th March 2015, and oath on 1st April 2015"

I also find it quite amazing that people complain that applicants from other months i.e. Jan, Feb Mar 2015 are moving faster then the December month applicants. One has to realize that every applicant case is different (if one reads the forums) and therefore it should be evident that everyone's case will move forward at a different speed.

In life one always needs to look at people who are less fortunate then oneself to appreciate the blessings one has. The applicants who are "transferred to local office" should feel more fortunate then those "in process" who in turn should feel more fortunate then those in "received" and these ones should find themselves more fortunate then those who do not even have "AOR".

My own family applied in August 2014, their case was sent to PSU and as per the forum once the case went to PSU there was no time factor applicable to the case to move forward. Fortunately within 2 months the case moved from PSU to Local office. Now they are waiting for the test invite. I applied in December 2014 and I have only AOR from CIC, no further updates.

One should not get obsessed by the ECAS updates or Call center updates because the life we live is not on a "PAUSE' while our citizenship application is in process. ;)

I hope I don't offend anyone with above ranting, but I realized that if I don't post, I might be removed from the December spreadsheet as I have no update from CIC other then "Received" since February 27, 2015. :-[
Thank you for expressing your feelings. This forum is like a family to everyone. I have got a lot of information from this forum and very very useful information.
Usually ECAS does not update at all for some people.
The last lines in my ecas was the file transfer to my local office.
I got test invite and gave test and I still do see the same line about transferred to local office.
It did not update regarding my test invite and as far as i know, it won't update for oath invite.
That's why I rely on my physical mailbox for any updates.

Don't panic, just relax, sit back, enjoy the days while your application is being processed. Stress can't solve the problems but it can worsen.

Hopefully you will get your updates soon and good luck and my best wishes to you.

Same for me. Some other offices show test invites, but seems Vancouver doesn't.

Two thumbs up! :)

Oh I do the usual everyday morning when I get to work. I open this forum, read the stuff, laugh and cry with everyone else and also vent my frustrations out and everyone listens. This site is just like family and we are all on the same journey.

I just checked CIC and my file was FINALLY transferred on 28 April! ;D

I have to agree with many of you - every case is different and no point being frustrated at the process. But certainly there's lots of e-love and lots of e-blessings especially from folks like Luna-Toronto who sprinkled me with luck and it worked ;)

I contend that people that do not report advance to next step or post their waiting in the forum in 4 months should be deleted. Some people just forget about the forum while their case is moving forward, why should we be stuck with stale, inaccurate, and discouraging information ?
The cases are certainly all different, but from the spreadsheets, some of us (coolguysam and Puda, just to name a few) have "established" that the max waiting time from one step to the next is 4 months. Unless RQ comes into play. And I tend to agree with them, as I haven't seen anybody that proves them wrong. Therefore my proposition is clear as follows:

4 months between app received and today without AOR or at least report that they are still waiting ==> Delete from the spreadsheet
4 months between AOR/Received-ecas and today without In Process or at least report that they are still waiting ==> Delete from the spreadsheet (I am at this stage with 2 months in already)
4 months between In Process and today without File transfer or at least report that they are still waiting ==> Delete from the spreadsheet
4 months between File Transfer and today without Test date or at least report that they are still waiting ==> Delete from the spreadsheet
4 months between Test and today without oath date or at least report that they are still waiting ==> Delete from the spreadsheet

That is 20 months of processing, and we expect all ACTIVE Dec. applicants to be done within that time period.

Your 4 months wait for test invite will "expire" on July 24th then. I doubt that you'll still be waiting at that time. But even if you still don't have any update by July 24 (which I doubt) you'll not be deleted because at least you report your wait here on the forum. You are an active member :D

Where do you work to see if I can apply? You're lucky for being paid to read this forum every day.
