Puda, can you delete all the UNKNOWN lines from the spreadsheet this Friday ? On Friday all of them would have been inactive for more than 120 days. That way we will have a more reliable spreadsheet/stats. I think we all agree here that 4 months (120 days) is the max wait time from one step to the next, unless the person actively shares their waiting on the forum...
Thanks
Hi Guys, What I don't understand is the assumption by fellow forum members that if December applicants are not posting on the forum or updating the December spreadsheet, then it means they are no longer active?
. We all are not compelled to report every tiny un-useful information just for sake of posting on the forum.
Applicants giving specific information such as given by forum members who have successfully given their test "
thecoolguysam" and "
yyzhuang" or by "
Fonkou' about the fingerprint request he received, are useful guidelines for the rest of us who are on this journey.
There is a lot more useful information posted by many members apart from the ones I indicated above but the ones mentioned above were done only to emphasis and acknowledge the usefulness of this forum and I apologize if I have not mentioned all the forum members who contributed useful information.
The light heartedness such as Wearing suits to await AOR or wearing Bermuda shorts to receive test invite or spreading of Magic sprinkles spread by some forum members gives a human touch to this journey as it makes you realize that everyone though far away from each other is still a member of the fraternity
I cannot vouch for other forum members who are not posting or updating their details on the spreadsheet, but I for one visit this page as well as the December spreadsheet everyday. There is no update on my case from CIC and as reported by others, cases are stuck "in process" or "received". There is nothing anybody can do to make them move any faster then when and if CIC decides to move them to the next stage.
As indicated time and time again in many posts by forum senior "
DonValley" and "
Eileen", there is no useful correlation data to be obtained from spreadsheets other then the information of the forum members and where their individual case is at. One cannot get any data that would shed any light on how CIC works on each case so that one can say with certainty "I applied on December 30th 2015 , CIC will Send me AOR on 15th January, 2015, Transfer to local office on 20th Feb 2015 , test on 12th March 2015, and oath on 1st April 2015"
I also find it quite amazing that people complain that applicants from other months i.e. Jan, Feb Mar 2015 are moving faster then the December month applicants. One has to realize that every applicant case is different (if one reads the forums) and therefore it should be evident that everyone's case will move forward at a different speed.
In life one always needs to look at people who are less fortunate then oneself to appreciate the blessings one has. The applicants who are "transferred to local office" should feel more fortunate then those "in process" who in turn should feel more fortunate then those in "received" and these ones should find themselves more fortunate then those who do not even have "AOR".
My own family applied in August 2014, their case was sent to PSU and as per the forum once the case went to PSU there was no time factor applicable to the case to move forward. Fortunately within 2 months the case moved from PSU to Local office. Now they are waiting for the test invite. I applied in December 2014 and I have only AOR from CIC, no further updates.
One should not get obsessed by the ECAS updates or Call center updates because the life we live is not on a "PAUSE' while our citizenship application is in process.
I hope I don't offend anyone with above ranting, but I realized that if I don't post, I might be removed from the December spreadsheet as I have no update from CIC other then "Received" since February 27, 2015. :-[
