Hey Everybody, I have received my Acknowledgment Receipt on Jan 20th through Email. What does that mean? I thought you have to receive a book in mail rather than E-mial..... One more thing, I checked my application status and it says my application was transferred to Surrey, B.C. office. what does that mean too? LOL I guess I have no idea whit the steps. Should I be studying for the test? My UBC finals are in a month and a half, so I gotta know sooner if anything special is happening.
Really appreciate it guys if you could help me out here....

Kia

E-Cas updated today to Received

with two lines stating when my application was received and when AOR was mailed out.

What's the next step?

Means they have received your application, and if you read the attachment in the email it will tell you to get the book online (they have provided a link in there). Some people get a hard copy by mail and some receive it by email. Also, your file has been transferred to your local office which means Surrey for you. Now wait until your local office processes your application and send you the letter for your citizenship test. Normally they test is 1-4 weeks after they send the test invitation letter. So if you want you can get a head start or study after you receive their letter.

Your file will be transferred to your local office, and they will be processing it and sending you the test letter, unless they need more documents from you. So sit back, relax and wait for the test invitation letter. Depending on how fast your local office is with processing, it can take anywhere from 2-12 months of processing time.

I've noticed that, from the December applicants, almost no Toronto applicants have received their AORs yet. Do you guys agree? I mean, most of the AORs we've seen are applicants that are not Toronto-based (or even Ontario-based)

Same here, no AOR yet. :(

You and one or two more Toronto-based December applicants are the only ones on this forum to receive their AORs so far compared to the December applicants from other provinces.

Congratulations to all AORs. Wow there has been a lot of AORs here lately. I like it :D
