Hi,

I will be applying for Canadian Citizenship soon and wanted to ask what supporting documents apart from the document checklist are recommended to be submitted along with the citizenship application?
I am asking because the citizenship application doesnt ask for any document proof for employment, residence and criminal record check. Specifically I want to know, should I include the following documents along with my application:

-Employment Letter(s), T4 for past 4 years, NoA for past 4 years proving employment claim
-CBSA entry/exit record requested via ATIP for travels abroad
-House ownership/lease, Utility bills, car insurance, CC statements etc proving residence
-Educational documents proving educational claim
-RCMP fingerprinting criminal record check in advance

Would appreciate your response on this.

Thanks,
htayyab

Only make sure you send everything that is in the checklist. you dont have to send anything else with the initial application.

I called the call center today and they couldn't find my docs yet. sorry for being impatient..My application was received on Dec 1. how long do you think would be time to call again? at least I can get a yes or no answer before the new residence requirement comes into effect. thanks

It is too early to panic. They also received my application on Dec 1st and no news yet. there are still good numbers of November people that have not yet received their AOR. and I know it can take up to 4 months. It is based on luck too that which officer works on your application, some are faster than others.

As of yesterday, the stats show that it takes [71-76] days to get AOR. So you and I (at least one of us) should get our AOR by this Sunday.

I wouldn't send anything other than what they asked for in the application. Why make it a complicated application? If they need anything extra they sure will contact you.
