+1(514) 937-9445 or Toll-free (Canada & US) +1 (888) 947-9445
I would add the following docs:

-Employment Letter(s), T4 for past 4 years, NoA for past 4 years proving employment claim
-CBSA entry/exit record requested via ATIP for travels abroad
-House ownership/lease, car insurance,
-Educational documents proving educational claim (Transcrips, Diploma)

Your call and good luck !!!

Hi,

I will be applying for Canadian Citizenship soon and wanted to ask what supporting documents apart from the document checklist are recommended to be submitted along with the citizenship application?
I am asking because the citizenship application doesnt ask for any document proof for employment, residence and criminal record check. Specifically I want to know, should I include the following documents along with my application:

-Employment Letter(s), T4 for past 4 years, NoA for past 4 years proving employment claim
-CBSA entry/exit record requested via ATIP for travels abroad
-House ownership/lease, Utility bills, car insurance, CC statements etc proving residence
-Educational documents proving educational claim
-RCMP fingerprinting criminal record check in advance

Would appreciate your response on this.

Thanks,
htayyab

Hi Guys,

Just got my AOR 10 mins ago via email.

App sent : Dec 2nd 2014
App received : 3rd Dec 2014
AOR : 11th Feb 2015
Congratulations!
Wish you the best.

Hi Guys,

Need your inputs as I am a very confused.

App sent : Dec 2nd 2014
App received : 3rd Dec 2014
AOR received : 11th Feb 2015

Since my current passport (copies I attached with the application) was expiring in April 2015. I renewed my passport and received it few days back in Feb 2015.

Should I inform CIC about it right now ? or I just take this new passport along with all the passports and show it in interview.
I think CIC should not be bothered about this new passport as it has nothing to do with my residency days. They can have the new passport if they ask during interview as I will take it with me.

Please advise.

Once your Test date comes in just take all your passports with you. As you mentioned as the new passport does not have anything on it or to do anything with your residency I doubt it will matter at this moment, but after the test, during the interview the CO might want to check it.

If the issue date of the new passport is before the date you signed the application then yes it would matter. But for your case its not required as long as the passport copy you have sent covers the relevant four years.

Good to see movement in status of December applicants.
Congrats to all who received AORs.

Thanks guys for the congratulations! I wish you all the best.

I was wondering what will be the next step and what is the timeframe expected based on November or average 2014 applications for example ?

What do you expect to achieve by sending all these unnecessary papers with initial application rather than have them ready and send if you're required to do so?
Do you really plan to storm an RCMP office and demand to be fingerprinted? What would tell them?

Anyway, no joking, send also all the pictures you took with you in Canada with proper description on the back of each one. Notarized description.
