Hi could you update the spreadsheet for my ECAS decision made date 5th July, destination, Calgary, Alberta. I was not given an 'in process' update or asked to attend for interview or for my passport. Thank you.

Congrats.

The spreadsheet has been updated. Applicants, please let me know if I missed to update your information.

Thanks.

Below is the e-mail response I recieved from CIC after about 2 weeks.

Please note your application for permanent residency was transferred to Los Angeles for a more in depth review. Your application was transferred on June 26th

Is this a good thing that it is gone back to LA office?. Originally it was sent from LA to Ottawa and they requested additional docs and now it is going back to LA. I also heard that CPC-O finalizes and sends it back to LA and then LA requests the COPR? has anyone heard of this?

I agree with Millertimez, though I seem to recall a case where it was sent to LA and the person got their COPR the next month. It seems very inconsistent. Have you ordered GCMS notes? While they take 30+ days to receive, they may have a note on them re: any possible red flags. Can you think of anything in your case that may required further attention? Maybe you can send them additional documentation that may alleviate those concerns. I hope you hear something soon.

We still have not heard anything since the request for additional documents on June 6th, though our deadline is this Sunday, so perhaps something next week. We ordered GCMS notes on June 2nd and after 2 follow-up emails, got a response on July 15th that the notes were still processing and they would send them when they have them. I don't know when that possibly could be or how hard it is to generate them. I also hope that our case didn't get transferred for some absurd reason. I am so sick of this.

I actually just realized that our file never even went to LA to begin with, it was sent to cpc-o after I got my SA. I was told that cpco is considered outland. I was under the impression that my file was sent to somewhere in states after missisauga after a month. So basically, after all docs were recieved in cpc-o they sent my file to LA. Seems like they were just waiting to get my complete application then send it to LA. I was also told by cic that my file is pending an officer review but this was prior to them telling me that file is transferred to LA. I was told that there are 2 parts before getting copr; 1st pre screening by cic general officer...this person open the file and makes sure all docs required are present, if something missing then they ask for those docs and give a deadline to submit. This person also briefly suggests if an interview is recommended. This is then transffered to a visa officer who then reviews the file in detail this is when the ecas changes to in process and generally takes 2 weeks then decision made.

Therefore, I am assuming that by getting acknowledged that all docs are recieved means prescreening is done and I guess to exp3dite its sent to LA as VO's may have less work there in this category. Again, this can only be an assumption nothing else. It could mean many other things which I dont want to think about :)

The information above was given to me by my friend who claims that he was told this by his lawyer.

Hi! CFO is for Filipinos only. Instructions isn't included on the package, but you'll find out everything you need to know in here http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1348&Itemid=918 (instructions, requirements, etc). You can also pre-register in that website. Note that your wife needs to attend the GC (Guidance and Counselling) since she is married to a foreign national.

Our application went "In Process" by the end of July, 2014 in Singapore Visa Office.

It's updated on the spreadsheet now too.

Hi everyone. Sorry haven't got the time to update the spreadsheet lately. Thank you Avadava and Millertimez. I have received my visa and COPR on July 26. For a VO that currently is on a 14 month processing time, having finished the process in about 7 months is a huge sigh of relief for future applicants. Though, I am still seeing people from our VO whose applications were "left behind" dating to May-October 2013 makes me wonder how they exactly go about processing the applications. Its really frustrating to know that some 2014 applicants are getting their PPRs now but some are still left puzzled as to what exactly happened to their applications. Case specific enquiry facility is not at all helping.
