Today we received my COPR in the mail. It expires November 21, 2014. Now to just figure out when I'm going to land. Which will be a fun negotiation with my work, who is supposed to transfer me to the Toronto office.

I am so thrilled that this process has almost come to an end!!!!

:D :D :D :D

Congrats crawf307! Glad to see so many people getting good news now!

Congrats crawf307 :)
Pz, did you land today?? How did it go!

Hi, Just wanted to add something for the spreadsheet, I received a request for information from the Visa office on June 17th. I was given 30 days to respond. It is for an updated police certificate, addresses and personal history going back to 18 years, not just the last 10 years and also an official document scan.

I am taking that as good news that things are progressing well.
Meantime, in the next month or so I need to apply for a visa extension as I am in Canada.

Thank you. Good luck everyone.

I had the date off by one day -- we will be landing tonight! We are driving up from the states, where we have been visiting family for a couple of weeks. We will have to drive back to Montreal, pick up the COPR, drive back across the border and land. Minor annoyance for something so important!

We finally landed tonight! Everything was simple at the border, my wife just had to sign a few papers and then she was congratulated. Don't forget to bring mail with your address on it, we thought we had forgotten then realised we still had the envelope the COPR came in!

From submission to visa it was about six and a half months.

Good luck everyone! This group has been great support for us through the whole process, everything has been much easier because of the forum and its members!!

OMG GUYS!!

My ecas says "we started processing your app on 30th June"

As much I have almost fallen out of my office chair in joy I can't help but think this is some sort of evil glitch on the system

I've only just sent of my rprf payment, Friday 27th June... surely they did not receive it in 3 days??

Can an application go into process without rprf?

I'm really happy to see this update but something doesn't seem right to me..

Other than the COPR and mail (with my new Canadian address? or my US address?) is there anything else that I need to bring with me to land?

Congrats on landing. Just one question, did your spouse fill out the B1 form and if so did they issue it?

Nope, no B1 form. Just had to sign and initial a few things on the COPR (no felonies, no dependents), then they stamped her (US) passport with the COPR number written in. She has to use the paper COPR to enter Canada with her US passport until we receive the PR card, which they claim (and I have my doubts) will arrive in about 45 days.

Awesome! That sounds so easy. Did she get a SIN today? That's one of the things I'm most worried about, haha.

Yup, she already had a SIN by 10:30am today -- and it doesn't start with a 9 :-)

Do you have to apply for the PR Card separately or will that be sent automatically to the Sponsor's address?

They told us it would be automatically sent. Here is the link that confirms this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/pr-card/apply-how.asp

Got an email today saying that my file has now been approved and your Confirmation of Permanent Residence will be sent today.

Have to say such a relief to see that email dropping in!

According to ecas it started processing on the 5th of July and decision made today on the 8th of July.

Hi guys, I am a Canadian citizen and sponsored my wife from US. I submitted my application on Dec 3rd and January 7th I got my sponsor's approval. It mentions on ECAS that application is recieved and medical results have been recieved as well. There has been no update on ECAS since then, other than the fact that my lawyer had suggested to send in the FBI clearence when they ask for. So last month, they certainly sent a letter requesting the FBI clearence, also asked for me to pay the RPRF. After about 2 weeks, I had e-mail CIC Ottawa case processing center and they replied the next day stating that all files that they requested have been recieved and the status currently is that our file which was originally sent to NY office has been transferred to Ottawa case processing center (I am assuming to expedite the process). Also mentioned to me that our file is now pending a visa officer review. It has been 2 weeks and was wondering how long does it take for VO to get to our file?

Also if someone can add me on the spreadsheet I would appreciate it
Cheers!
