Wow congrats!!! Yes, you can work as soon as you get your SIN (this is what employers require). No need to wait for PR card

Thanks!!

My timeline is as follows:

Sent Application: 12 December 2013
Received: 10 December 2013
AOR: 5 January 2014
SA: 13 January 2014
Medical Received: 21 January 2014
Proof of Residency and Income/PPR: 28 May 2014 (sent it out: 29 May 2014)
Decision made: June 15 (a Sunday)
COPR received: 24 June 2014
Landing: July 26

Question: Can I legally get a job with my COPR or do I have to wait the 90+ days for the PR card to be mailed to my canadian address before I can get a job?

BTW congrats to everyone who has seen some movement in their files!

what's the process of getting an SIN card after receiving your COPR?

Depending on the airport at which you land, some offer the opportunity of applying then and there for your SIN. Otherwise, you would go to services Canada after you land with your COPR. I don't think they give cards anymore, just the number which you are supposed to memorize.

Finally got my GCMS notes today. Long document 26 pages.

Summary:
- Relationship seems genuine, they recommend PR.
- Medical Record is valid until September, 2014
- Criminal check: not started (last entery Jan 3,2014)
- Officer: SR00162

There was a glitch causing the delay of the notes.

Good day,

Thank you for contacting the ATIP general mailbox. We apologize for the delay in responding to your message. Please be advised that our office has experienced a significant increase in client inquiry volumes and thus, we appreciate your patience.

According to our records, file XXXXXX was completed on June 23, 2014. However, the system does not show the file was sent. We apologize for this delay which may have resulted from a technical glitch.

I have escalated the issue further and we will release the package to you today.

Ours was 24 pages with nothing of note in them. It seems so repetitive.
So nothing about why it's taking so long after your PPR, eh? Was it generated back in May? That may explain why your criminal check wasn't completed at that time.
I'm starting to feel like most of us December Ottawa applicants have been forgotten. Why the delay between PPRs and COPRs? Though I am wondering if their quarterly numbers are due and they are trying to get through some later cases to bring their averages down. Otherwise, I have no clue why people who applied months afterwards seems to be progressing more quickly.

Looking at the CPP-Ottawa spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aq6VF-LGjkR9dGNpLUxQZ1Z0Mm80aE5ZWDBvWklEQUE#gid=0), everything seems to be progressing as you would expect: there is one December person who has a visa and almost everyone else is at PPR or stage 2 AOR, which are probably equivalent because a lot of people probably send in a passport photocopy and that's probably enough for them in you're going through Ottawa. After December, most people are at stage 1 AOR. The only thing we conclude is that it shouldn't be long now for December applications going through Ottawa!

No mention of anything else other than what is stated above. I think reason being is I sent the request the same day I received the PPR. Had I waited 10 minutes, there would have been no reason to send the request in the first place. I'll wait 2 more months before requesting another GCMS notes.

Thanks Patience. Not sure when she'll be coming as she's 28 weeks pregnant. Once she consult her midwife then we'll know if it is safe for her to travel. It also depends on the validity of the COPR.

I'm hoping you guys get a DM soon on your applications. ;D
