You have to make a case specific inquiry to the Singapore VO here: https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=singapore

Write your name, date of birth, UCI number and all other details that would help identify you (same for your wife) and inform them of your new address.

My crazy brain is at it again... must be all this snow.
My husband was charged with a minor crime (trespassing) in 2003 when he was a college student. He did a day of community service for it and then it was dealt with. He was honest and upfront about it on the application and it showed up on his FBI check.
He's never had an issue visiting me in Canada before and he comes regularly. Do you think this would case a delay in the application? I wasn't worried about it before because the charge is also considered minor in Canada.

Thanks! Hopefully, they've received it already and it's sitting in its long queue waiting to be reviewed.

Don't worry about it, if it was something big then he wouldn't have been able to enter Canada before, as major crimes would make you inadmissible to Canada (for example a DUI makes you inadmissible to Canada). No matter what our police checks say, CIC does their own investigation, criminality, security and background checks (Interpol, FBI, CSIS, etc.) This is the normal process, so it shouldn't delay things. It is a positive thing that you were honest about it, because they will find out anyway and he could've been accused of misrepresentation.

AOR = Acknowledgment of Receipt (it is when CIC informs you they have received you application. Usually you get two AOR - one from Mississauga for the first stage and one from the Visa Office where you application goes after the sponsorship approval)
SA = Sponsorship Approval (the first stage of the process where Mississauga approves the Canadian or PR sponsor to sponsor their spouse, common -law, parents, etc.)

Ohh, okay. That clears up the confusion.

Thank you so much :)

Thanks, Avadava. I figured as much, but sometimes reading stories on this forum make me nervous.

I have asked the same question in the Ottawa group but no reply yet. Based on the CPP-O spreadsheet, I noticed half of the applicants got them and the other half did not.

They have updated the CIC website on 5th Feb that they are working on applications received on Jan 2nd.

Hope they update the average processing time of the VO abroad soon!!

anybody know if the Manila VO sends out AORs?

I don't think so.. I also took a peek at other thread's spreadsheets and found none.

Add me to the spreadsheet please!!

I am applying from NYC (american citizen) my husband is a Canadian Citizen and will be sponsoring me. It's a pretty straightforward application seeing as we have no issues that would make the process last longer.

Here is my timeline so far:

Visa Office: Ottawa
Sent out Application: December 6th, 2013
Received according to ECAS: December 12th, 2013
AOR 1st Stage: January 5th
Sponsorship Approval: January 13th
Medicals Received: January 21st

What will the next steps be and approximately how long will it take for me to get to these next steps?

Thanks,
Dalma :)
