AOR from the VO received today!

It was actually super informal - I'm surprised! :o

Congrats! What do you mean by super informal? Could you quote a sentence? I'm curious.

"Hi xxxxxxxx

Your husband's application has been received at the Kingston office and is in progress"

VERY informal!

The Kingston office is really different - very very informal...they don't follow the manual or send anything in the correct wording terminology LOL!
So - this email is apparently consistent with AOR's from others who have received an AOR from this VO. Insane eh?

Congrats! Must be a good feeling to hear from them!
I like the sound of an informal VO. I picture happy workers going through the files, happy to be reuniting families, with sunshine pouring in through the windows.

Just took a look at the spreadsheet, could someone update a few things for me?

Medicals done: November 8, 2013
Medicals update in ECAS: January 10, 2014
Destination in Canada: Toronto, ON

Thank you!

So when do you all think they will update the processing times for the various visa offices?

Back in October it took them 12 days to update. Hopefully next week.

I hope the average processing time has gone down considerably. 6 months maybe? I know it's wishful thinking but 18 months is way too long! And for some it is even longer.... Whatever happened to reuniting families!?! :o

Hi,

Some VO don't send AOR when the application is transferred from CPC-M to the respective VO abroad.

You'll just have to wait to hear from them and check the ECAS online for any progress.

I know it's annoying but unfortunately that's how it works. :(

Thanks JenPin for fast reply. The point is that Rome made an update last week on a friend but nothing for me and I worry...

Try to be more detailed with your evidences? I don't know much about arranged marriages but try to bring all the wedding pictures you have, with the names, dates, and relationship to the people who attended... You can look up "Interview" threads on the forum, and "arranged marriages" because they'd be more helpful to you; :-[

Have you heard others mention if Ottawa usually sends an AOR?
